Rock. Above the intensely filled dark blue, above that, three triangular crescents. An eight-spoked wheel, dark blue, surrounded by a fence of dark blue curved knives. Above that, on top of two crossed corpses, contemplate the mandala of the sun. From the heart of oneself, the Hūṃ (Tibetan: ཧཱུྂ, Sanskrit Devanagari: हूँ, Sanskrit Romanization: hūṃ, Chinese literal meaning: Hūṃ) arises, contemplate it residing on the sun. From that, a curved knife marked with Hūṃ (Tibetan: ཧཱུྂ, Sanskrit Devanagari: हूँ, Sanskrit Romanization: hūṃ, Chinese literal meaning: Hūṃ), dissolves into light and becomes the Protector. Color black, form short, majestic splendor. From the mouth flows great blood, just a little wrathful, one's own limbs are cut into flesh, and also the stream of blood is sucked. Cursing the preceptor, hating the doctrine, violating vows, without limit. Those who dwell on the head, eating consciousness. In the right hand a curved knife, in the left a skull of blood. The lower body wrapped with wet tiger skin, fierce, three-eyed, belly hanging down, all limbs adorned with snakes. Gnashing teeth, eyes rolling, countless blacks radiating from the body. In its heart, contemplate the mandala. Above that, on the sun, from the curved knife, at the root of the vajra, Hūṃ (Tibetan: ཧཱུྂ, Sanskrit Devanagari: हूँ, Sanskrit Romanization: hūṃ, Chinese literal meaning: Hūṃ) dwells, light radiates, inviting the self-nature Protector. In front of Vajradhara, as promised and vowed, in this blessed place, invite and dwell for fierce deeds. By saying this, it becomes non-dual. What are the other differences? The Bhagavan said: Great Black One, listen. In the mandala previously described, in the center is the Great Black One, having generated in a fierce manner, in the eight directions in order: Yama Messenger Mother, Yama Fanged Mother, Yama Club Mother, Yama Time Mother, Yama Hook Mother, Yama Lasso Mother, Yama Chain Mother, Yama Subduing Mother, and the Cemetery Mother, etc., in the right hand a curved knife as a sign, and in the left hand holding a skull of blood. The other mothers' attire is the same as the main one. On the outer eight layers, one should contemplate on the seat, the eight Yamas of action: in the east is Yavaté, in the south is the King, in the west is Tilapa, in the north is the one with a bull's head, in the northeast is the one with nine tufts of hair, in the northwest contemplate Yama Mirage, in the southwest generate Yama Phyasang, in the southeast dwell the red-eyed one. Their colors are bluish-gray.

Holding a knife and a skull cup. The invocation ritual is the same as before. The Second Chapter, on Generating the Deity from the Black Cemetery, from the Great Black Tantra. How is the empowerment ritual performed? Please, Bhagavan, explain. The Bhagavan spoke: In the mandala described before, arrange the assembly wheel, invite the Great Black One, and in front of him, perform the recitation, open the eyes after doing it a hundred thousand times. The painted image described before, empower it with a curved knife, skull cup, and thangka, and explain it to the assembly. The Third Chapter, on Empowerment from the Black Cemetery, from the Great Black Tantra. How is the lineage of the Black Deity? The Bhagavan spoke: Listen to the lineage of the Deity of Body, Speech, and Mind. Hūṃ, fierce one with the form of a Rakshasa, subduer, who is a Bodhisattva, lord of terror of the triple city, wrathful one, I praise you. Hūṃ, black in color, short in stature, great in splendor, subduer of the fierce, right hand holding a curved knife, left hand holding a skull cup filled with blood, I praise the one with a skull garland. Hūṃ, the earth shakes from the stamping of angry feet, the laughter of terror collapses Mount Meru, tearing out the hearts of those who break their vows, I praise the one who keeps their vows. The Fourth Chapter, on Explaining the Lineage of the Deity, from the Black Cemetery, from the Great Black Tantra. How is the Torma ritual performed? Please, Bhagavan, explain. The Bhagavan spoke: In order to please the deities and pacify obstacles, listen to the explanation of the Torma. In the skull cup that arises from A (Tibetan: ཨ, Devanagari: अ, Romanized Sanskrit: a, Literal meaning: None), contemplate the substances described before. Below, contemplate the wind arising from Yaṃ (Tibetan: ཡཾ, Devanagari: य, Romanized Sanskrit: yaṃ, Literal meaning: Wind), and above it, contemplate the fire blazing from Raṃ (Tibetan: རཾ, Devanagari: र, Romanized Sanskrit: raṃ, Literal meaning: Fire). On top of the Torma, contemplate the sun, and above that, contemplate the curved knife arising from Hūṃ (Tibetan: ཧཱུྃ, Devanagari: हुं, Romanized Sanskrit: hūṃ, Literal meaning: Seed syllable). From that, two rays of light emanate. The lower one transforms the Torma into nectar. The wind fans the fire, burning the skull cup, transforming it into blue, red, and white. Then, the upper ray of light transforms into naturally accomplished nectar. The curved knife and the sun dissolve into light. Then, recite this mantra: Oṃ Mahākāla Yā Jñāna Amṛta Oṃ Āḥ Hūṃ Hūṃ Phaṭ (Tibetan: ཨོྂ་མ་ཧཱ་ཀཱ་ལ་ཡཱ་ཛྙཱ་ན་ཨ་མྲྀ ཏ་ཨོྂ་ཨཱཿཧཱུྂ་ཧཱུྂ་མ།, Devanagari: ॐ महाकाल या ज्ञान अम्रित ॐ आः हुं हुं फट, Romanized Sanskrit: oṃ mahākāla yā jñāna amṛta oṃ āḥ hūṃ hūṃ phaṭ, Literal meaning: Om, Great Black One, Wisdom, Nectar, Om, Ah, Hum, Hum, Phat).
