Therefore, there is nothing to meditate on. Regarding the subject of abiding without meditation, Kunje (Tibetan: ཀུན་བྱེད།, literally: All-Doer) I have not said that there is even a mote of dust. Therefore, for the uncountable, beyond direction, do not seek a realm of meditation like Vajrasattva (Tibetan: སེམས་དཔའ་རྡོ་རྗེ།). Realization and non-realization are beyond the realm of consciousness. Meditation and non-meditation are devoid of the aspect of an object of focus. Various appearances, yet the subject cannot be determined, therefore, correct and incorrect, do not contemplate. Regarding this mind that should be contemplated, Vajrasattva did not give prophecies to others. If this contemplation is prophesied to others, then the retinue, because of clinging to the object of contemplation, will not be liberated from the extreme of clinging to consciousness. Therefore, proclaim the contemplation of non-contemplation. Great Bodhisattva, now please contemplate! Do not meditate on unborn nature elsewhere. For the object of observing oneself, there is none, the "La" of observation should also be recited. Vow is oneself, do not protect it elsewhere. Protecting it will cause jealousy towards self-arisen Dharma. For self-arisen Dharmas, whatever happens, whatever appears, do not be jealous, but naturally abide in your own place. If all vows that do not need protection are protected, then the vow of no-self, without "La" should also be recited. No matter who commits the five inexpiable sins, if they realize the meaning of self-arisen non-duality, and thus possess fearless confidence, that is the recitation of the vow of Kunje. Even if the scriptures of the root and branch vows are protected, if one cannot be separated from the mind of hope, fear, then that is abiding in the vow, not reciting the vow. Protection and non-protection are beyond the realm of vows. Decay and non-decay, consciousness cannot accept or reject. The boundary of inexpiable sins, the limit of protection, calculation, all transcend these. Thus contemplate, and if there is no object of contemplation, then that is the recitation of the "La" of all vows. View has nothing to meditate on, vows have nothing to protect, the chapter on reciting "La", the second chapter. Then, the Bodhicitta Kunje Gyalpo (Tibetan: ཀུན་བྱེད་རྒྱལ་པོ།, literally: All-Doer King) proclaimed this contemplation that transcends birth and death. Great Bodhisattva, now please contemplate! This Bodhicitta that is without birth and death, abides in all, therefore it is difficult to contemplate definitively. The body is the nature of the four great elements, flesh is what holds the essence of earth, it shows the unchanging nature. Blood is what holds the essence of water, it shows the nature of moisture and cohesion. Warmth is what holds the essence of fire, it shows the nature of non-decaying maturity.

I have thus declared. Breath holds the nature of wind. Again, it is declared to be of a light and moving nature. Thus, the four elements are all gathered, Because each holds its own characteristic, It is not said that the body has birth and death. The mind holds the characteristic of space, It is also declared to be of an objectless nature. Whatever thoughts arise, they show their own nature. I have not said that the mind has birth and death. Those who have not heard of my body, By grasping the function of the body's category with thought, To the rise and fall, birth and death of the elements, Arises the sorrow of "having birth and death." Bodhi-mind has never had birth and death, Just as space has no birth and death, So too, the mind has no birth and death. The four elements of earth, water, fire, and wind, Just as there is no term for birth and death, So too, the body does not have birth and death. O great-hearted one, listen now! Do not seek a higher Dharma than this, If you search, it will obscure the meaning of the heart essence. Do not take up the efforts of body and speech, If you take them up, you will be lost by the disease of effort. Do not hold the lost place as your own place, Whoever holds their own place, Cannot overcome the meaning of the spontaneously accomplished heart essence. If it is said that overcoming is Dharma, Then there is no establishment of self and other, Therefore, I declare it to be uncountable and beyond calculation. Because it is spontaneously accomplished in itself, there is no need to accomplish it, Because it transcends the object of focus, there is no need to meditate, Because it transcends the words of expression, there is no need to know, Because it is separate from the actions of the mind, Therefore, it cannot be thought of with the binding mind. Because it does not arise from causelessness or conditions, There is no need to deliberately accumulate the accumulation of merit. Because what I have done from the beginning is Dharma, There is no need to place hope on the fruit waiting for time. On the basis of the root of ignorance and emptiness, Do not think of rebirth after death. Your own mind is a mind without birth, Do not harbor the pride of not appearing to others. The Dharmas of hearing, thinking, and contemplating, Please regard them as mere childish games, Please abide in the objectless, impartial, and transcendent. Anyone who is free from partiality, Does not abide in samsara, nor does he fall into nirvana. The two, body and mind, are inseparable, the movement of thought, Clinging to as self
