It is accomplished. (Thus it is said.) Questioner: The ultimate of all things, the peg of Bodhicitta has arisen, how should this be understood? Answer: For example, the nature of a vajra, a hard and rigid object, after being analyzed into many, is destroyed by the power of wind, then where is there any object in it? For example, the nature of fire, hot and burning all things, burning brightly, manifesting light, expanding and spreading, is extinguished by the power of water, then where is there any nature in it? For example, the object of matter, is also burned by the power of fire, then where is there any nature in it? The consciousness bound by greed, although it has various forms, even if the senses and so on become beautiful, but the five aggregates are impermanent, after death and migration, all things will be destroyed, destroyed into dust and so on, even bones will disappear, and ultimately nothing will appear. Like great mountains and so on, stable and moving things, all worlds, are destroyed by three kalpas, then where is there any nature in it? Therefore, all the dharmas of things, things are not eternal, so know that all dharmas have no self-nature. Senses, stable and moving, all appearances, all realms are not existent, only the Alaya consciousness, appears as various things, if you break down the appearing things, observing, it will be pacified in the emptiness of space. If space itself is broken down by the five elements, it will merge into the realm of no characteristics. The world, stable and moving, and so on, appearance itself has no essence. That is the Bodhicitta peg, the great Dharmakaya. Thus it is said. Questioner: The peg of Bodhicitta, is it really just an illusion? Answer: If so, if you analyze all the characteristics of things, the nature will become without illusion, because there is no dependence on existence, so there is no non-existence of non-existence. Because there are no boundaries, there is no center, and it does not dwell in the center. Not abandoning, not pursuing, dwelling in the emptiness of space. If you analyze the three realms, there is no samsara and nirvana. If you separate directions and parts, that is the Tathagatagarbha. Thus it is said. Questioner: The peg of Bodhicitta is just an illusion, becoming a Tathagata, what is that like? Answer: If you dwell in the true reality, the outer and inner containers and contents will all be purified.

Thus, the coarse appearance passes away. Grasping illusion as emptiness is the realm of the Mother. The characteristic of form is without substance. Even one can be divided into five, and all abide in the state of space. That space is the realm of Dharma. Thus it is said. Question: Is it the true meaning that the peg of Bodhicitta knows everything is only emptiness? Answer: The Sutras and Shastras explain that everything is empty by the meaning of guidance. Therefore, it is said to be non-existent. Therefore, it is also said that emptiness is without self. If one views emptiness incorrectly, it becomes a burden of small sins. Like grasping a snake wrongly, like practicing mantras wrongly. The emptiness of the Victorious Ones is what brings forth all views. One who views a person as emptiness is incurable. Thus it is said. Whoever speaks of various appearances as non-existent, by seeing non-existence, enters the heretical path. Thus it is said. Question: Why does the peg of Bodhicitta show that all dharmas are emptiness? Answer: Showing no birth is also to dispel the grasping of reality. Illusion is originally unborn, and because it is unborn, no name is established. Who would think that this space is non-existent? The wise do not grasp what comes first. Thus it is said. Question: What is meant by the peg of Bodhicitta, what is meant by emptiness? Answer: I am without, separated from direction, and cannot be universally shown. The boundary of non-existence cannot be delineated. Showing non-existence is the essence of existence. It is very difficult to show both existence and non-existence. What do the various forms appear as? Because they are not existent in the ultimate truth, there is no way to examine what this is. Thus it is said. Question: By what does the peg of Bodhicitta become non-existent? Answer: The realm of Dharma is the Dharmakaya, said to be non-conceptual wisdom. Self-born wisdom, nature appears. What is there in emptiness? Thinking with the nature of non-existence, like rabbit horns and female donkeys. Although names can be given, all are only names, not emptiness. Everything is empty, not that the earth and stones have no memory, so this non-conceptual nature is clear.
