In the nature of complete purity, The Buddhas, the Bhagavat, who have gone and abide in the three times, All-knowing in every way, Possessing all the distinct wisdoms, To tame all beings without exception, The Bhagavat Vajrasattva and others, The five families of Sugatas, And the supreme family, together with the mantra mother, The bodhisattvas in the retinue of the princes, The mandala of the mother goddesses and so on, The great lord of great wisdom, Possessing the nature of skillful means, Endowed with the yoga of the nature of the dakinis, The essence of the nature body, without exception. O victorious ocean of Buddhas, together with your retinue, Please listen and consider me. In this mandala of our assembly, The mandalas that have gathered and assembled, First, we pledge in the secret place, And vividly remember the firm samaya. Broken, deteriorated, ruined, And after taking the root and branch samayas, We will protect them as instructed without hesitation. After taking the samaya of protection, Due to the power of ignorance and unawareness, We cannot endure the causes of happiness and suffering. Because the three doors have been burned by the fire of faults, Burning the continuums of ourselves and others, We have not reached the faultless sign, Therefore, we confess that the samaya of protection has been broken. We practitioners gathered here, When accomplishing the roots of virtue, The enemies who create obstacles, And the three: adultery, theft, and harmful demons, Through pacifying, increasing, subjugating, and wrathful actions, Suppressing, averting, transferring, and expanding, As the activity of taming the trainable is limited, Please subdue and accomplish them. Thirteenth, placing the mudra of the single-pointed vajra at the heart, Of the twenty-one vows.
