Meaningful thoughts, likewise meaningless actions, those joys and separations, co-existing and not co-existing, and whatever is contrary to what is, are all accomplished by this secret vehicle. In all the realms of the world, loud sounds and subtle sounds, unholy sounds and holy sounds, good and the opposite of that, likewise the sounds of various desires, whatever is heard, is accomplished by this secret vehicle. In all the realms of the world, as many smells as there are, the differences of tastes and tactile sensations, whatever is fully understood, is this great bliss secret vehicle. Whoever consecrates this, plagues and poisons and earth poisons, dakinis, thieves, snakes, and so on, all harms are abandoned, and one acts as one pleases like a lion. Various moving and unmoving things, whatever relies on the earth, and dwells in the sky, all as they desire, are accomplished by this secret vehicle. Then the great Brahma also, together with all the retinue of Brahma, became greatly frightened and terrified, and spoke well to the Lord of Dance: The ruler of the world, Brahma, illusions, mirages, and so on, arising from the birthplace of Brahma, all arise from the eternal place. Whence from the immovable, I myself am Brahma. Then the Lord of Dance spoke these words to Brahma: Alas, Brahma, most majestic! What you have said is well said. In your dominion of the world, why would Brahma be eternal? When Brahma becomes deluded, why would beings become one? If beings change in kind, Brahma himself would not become deluded. If Brahma changes in kind, how would he rationally cause them to fall into evil destinies? If from kind one falls into evil destinies, why would there be a heaven? If heaven and evil destinies, arise from one, it would become causeless. If Brahma is eternal, how do the six classes of beings arise? If it is said that they arise gradually, why would Brahma be eternal? Brahma himself is eternal, why do beings arise from conditions? Brahma himself is pure, how does the pure become impure? Since it is neither pure nor impure, how does it become cause and effect?

This going is not Brahma itself. Likewise, it is not inferior, intermediate, or supremely pleasing. If Brahma practices greatness, Brahma will not become Brahma itself. Then the great Lord of Power 307. Again, all the Lords of Power and their retinues, being greatly frightened and terrified, spoke thus to the Lord of Dance: All beings arise from attachment; not attachment, but I am attachment. From me, beings truly arise; the three realms also arise from me. I am the creator of the world; this world is under my power. Just as fragrance resides in a flower, it cannot arise without a flower. Likewise, the appearance of the world cannot arise without the Lord of Power. Just as light arises from a lamp, it cannot arise without a lamp. Likewise, all that moves and does not move cannot arise without the Lord of Power. Then the Lord of Dance spoke this verse to the Lord of Power: Alas, Lord of Power, you are exceedingly majestic; what you have said is well said. The nature of the Lord of Power is attachment; how does attachment create beings? If beings are conditioned, how can the Lord of Power become permanent? If the Lord of Power is permanent, how can beings become impermanent? If it arises gradually, how can the Lord of Power become permanent? At that time, how can permanence and impermanence become the agent and the actor? If the permanent becomes the actor, how can beings depend on others? Here there is no father or mother; what are seeds, offerings, and so forth? If the seed is the Lord of Power 309, it changes. Likewise, in the appearance of beings, how does the Pervader become the actor? Likewise, other speculations of self, mind, life, and nourishment, person, individual, actor, and so forth, are not all well established. If the permanent is the mind, why does it become the actor of beings? If it is one, how does it become the actor of all? If it is its own nature, would not all become one? How does it become one? Therefore, the self of the actor, mind, life, and so forth, are speculated by beings. At that time, the form of earth, water, fire, wind, and space, whoever says that the permanent is the cause, I shall speak of that. Earth itself is the finest dust; if it has parts, how does it become one?
