Ma. Thus spoke to the Bhagavan: "O Bhagavan, glorious Hayagriva! Please explain in detail to the assembly the root practice, the activities, and the sequence of wrathful actions." Having requested thus, the Bhagavan explained the root activities as follows: In order to protect the teachings, compose the method for the practice of powerful Padma. Undertake a teacher who possesses the heat of empowerment. With diligence, accomplish it single-pointedly. In a red charnel ground with mountains and rocks, the western mountain is high and majestic, the eastern mountain is low. The dense forest faces west. The sky resembles an eight-petaled lotus. The sun, moon, planets, and stars blaze with light. Where springs, rocks, and mountains all converge, offer tsha-tshas, give generously, and recite sutras. Perform virtuous deeds to the best of your ability. On a great charnel ground mountain of ashes, create a mandala that is one cubit long and triangular. Smear the four sides with blood. The accomplished medicine is a container of nectar. Draw the mandala and arrange the ornaments. In the center, place a Padma bhāṇḍa. A mature man, a young woman. Various flowers, the color of a lotus. The five continents are sealed with a round red cloth. Seal it with Hūṃ (藏文，梵文天城体：हूँ，梵文罗马转写：hūṃ，汉语字面意思：吽）and fill it with nectar. In the western door, gather various grains and meats. Arrange various flowers as offerings. Nectar, rakta, the five outer offerings. Banners, victory banners, parasols, rosaries. Arrange flutes, incense, and human bones. Draw the deity on charnel ground cloth. Consecrate it and display it to the west. Having thus fully completed the substances, instantly, through samadhi, generate yourself as the body of Padma Heruka. From the heart's essence, light radiates. In the ten directions, a tent of wrathful fire and weapons. Thus, by visualizing clearly, establish the boundaries. From the great and unbearable mandala of Hūṃ (藏文，梵文天城体：हूँ，梵文罗马转写：hūṃ，汉语字面意思：吽）, the blazing wrathful one, a fire mass blazes. Holding various cruel weapons. Scatter obstacles and wrongdoers into dust. The powerful fire mass blazes red and black. Like the fire at the end of an eon. Powerful and fierce, weapons are piled like rocks. Whatever it strikes, it cuts and liberates. The powerful wrathful one is unbearable and terrifying. The wheel of primordial wisdom whirls. Whoever transgresses the boundaries of the powerful one. Make them like dust particles. Then, in the sky in front, invite the yidam deities. Perform any confession of sins and obscurations. Then, bless the offerings. Purify with Raṃ (藏文，梵文天城体：，梵文罗马转写：，汉语字面意思：) and increase with Āḥ. Bless the five outer offering goddesses. Enjoy the inner offering of desirable qualities.
