In the realm of self-appearing phenomena, We discriminate between 'that' and 'self', And grasp at the characteristics of pleasure and pain separately. The Alaya-consciousness, being without substance, Has no place for imprints and the like. Since the objects of appearance are without substance, They cannot be grasped by the mind of afflictions. There is no instructing and no one to be instructed, Thus, there is no entity that instructs. Although there is nothing, the mind wrongly conceives, And constantly wanders in the prison of the three realms. The consciousness of the mind, In both appearance and non-appearance, Is a momentary thought. If thought itself is not established, How can the objects of the world be established? The continuous nature of the mind's suchness, The former has passed and is invisible, The latter has not yet arisen and cannot be examined. Thus, its nature is invisible. Like the wind blowing on the tip of a plant, The continuum is never completely cut off. This is the universal arising. Thus, all phenomena are without substance. Like water, wind, and waves, These three are neither one nor separate. Likewise, the Alaya-consciousness and the afflicted mind, Are neither one nor separate. The realm of Dharma and the realm of equality, All wisdom is without distinction, And cannot be spoken of as one. Thus, those who do not realize are sentient beings, If realized, Buddhahood is not separate. The suchness of the Bodhicitta, Is extremely invisible and difficult to contemplate, Vast, extensive, and deep. It is realized through profound wisdom. From where does it come, and where does it not go? There is no action of coming and going. Extremely difficult to contemplate, invisible, Neither end nor center can be examined. The self-nature free from grasping and being grasped, Appears in such a way as without object. The realm and the wisdom of the realm, Are merely self-awareness. May all sentient beings, Comprehend this. Without afflictions and suffering, And will attain the supreme fruit. To all sentient beings, Without attachment, may the rope of compassion, Liberate from the path of afflictions, And please them with loving-kindness. Likewise, in the prison of samsara, Extend the net of compassion, And lead them out of the mud of afflictions. Do not generate great compassion. Likewise, for ordinary people, Not stained by the obscurations of karma, May all manifestly attain Buddhahood, And have no regret in joy. For sentient beings, self and no-self, With compassion, do not differentiate between the two,

Like placing your mind on a beloved only child. May everything be without stain. Since all dharmas are emptiness, there is no entity or fabrication in it. Abiding in the nature of space, there is no alteration or change to it. All dharmas are without characteristics. Since all appearances are without substance, all existence and non-existence, are not perceived because they are without characteristics. Transcendent and mundane, the various appearances of dharmas, since they are not other than oneself, there is no longing or attachment to anything. All Bodhicitta minds, because they are extremely difficult to examine and are profoundly deep, are not the objects of conceptual thought. No object, non-object, no object to be objectified. The very nature of mind is just like that, that very Bodhi is mind. Since there is no difference between mind and Bodhi, all beings without exception and all dharmas of the three times are. All without exception are dharmas, mind and Bodhi are united as one. Great Bodhi spoke thus. A person with excellent intelligence, practices without obstruction in anything. In the very act of practicing, there is no attachment, abiding without diminishing for endless time. In all appearances such as these. Even though constantly seeing with direct perception, there is no entity in the appearance itself. Likewise, realize it as the very truth. If someone says there is existence in emptiness, then that which realizes the nature of non-existence, is like a rabbit's horn and a mare's vulva. It may be permissible to apply mere words, but all are mere names, there is no emptiness. Saying that all without exception are empty, since it is not a mindless imputation, it is the self-luminous nature of non-apprehension. All appearances such as these, there are no dharmas that are merely imputed. It is only knowing. If one realizes that all is non-dual, that itself is the ultimate sphere, it cannot be sought or placed from elsewhere. If sought from existence, it will become an exaggeration. If sought from non-existence, it will become a slander. If sought from both existence and non-existence, then that will not be allowed by scripture. Not possessing any conceptualization, therefore he does not not know anything. Such is the view of yoga. Although there may be a sequence of words, in meaning, meditate on it as being perfected all at once. Even if one realizes the meaning of such, even if one walks, sleeps, sits, stays, enjoys, one will not degenerate from the Mahayana meditation. For those who have not realized the meaning as above, foolish minds equally dig up the source, not realizing, they become lazy and indolent, and the meaning will not be accomplished.
