The Dharmakaya without existence has no birth or cessation. The realm and wisdom are inseparable in a state of oneness. It is formless, pervading all, and without coming or going, it is united in all. Known as the all-encompassing, it is the great mandala of practice. It abides in the great seal without characteristics. Within the realm of practice seen by the Buddhas themselves, the principal and retinue reside in the Dharmakaya. Thus it is said. From the Tantra of the Elephant King's Subjugation, the first chapter is the chapter on the basis of discourse, which reveals the origin of the secret teachings. Then, before the Bhagavan Great Vajradhara, all the Tathagatas made this request: "The realm of the mandala mother, appearing as the container, the body of the victorious deity, appearing as the essence, phenomena and existence, without contrivance, are primordially completely enlightened. To dispel the darkness of ignorance, please explain." Thus they requested. Then, the Great Buddha Vajradhara, abiding in the samadhi of non-duality between samsara and nirvana, spoke these words especially for the sake of beings: "All the defiled dharmas of samsara, are inseparable from pure nirvana, therefore, the non-dual one taste abides in the great seal. Just as the elephant king skillfully cuts through with strength, like the great and blissful waves of a river, without mixing with anything other than the dharmas of samsara, opening the mandala of the Buddha's mind, listen with reverence to the great Tantra of the Elephant King's Subjugation. The ocean of suffering samsara is the expanse of great bliss, the river of wisdom flows immeasurably without ceasing, in the darkness of ignorance, it blazes with its own light like a lamp, what is to be known is boundless and completely vast, like the sun's mandala blazing with light, destroying the multitude of darkness, the medicine that turns copper into gold, the supreme medicine that turns poison into nectar, samsara itself is the Buddha's mandala. Take up this tantra with great reverence, may compassion pervade all beings." Thus it is said. From the Tantra of the Elephant King's Subjugation, the second chapter is the chapter on initiating the discourse. Then, Vajradhara spoke of the source of all the dharmas of samsara and nirvana: "The spontaneously arising nature, the essence of the primordially unborn is A (藏文:ཨ,梵文天城體:अ,梵文羅馬擬音:a,漢語字面意思:阿), the substance of all without distinction, spontaneously accomplished without bondage or liberation. The mandala of the form of a man, fire..."

Whatever arises in emptiness, There is nothing other than itself, Therefore, it becomes free from all conditions. The Dharmadhatu mandala is boundless, When the King of Wisdom takes control, The mandala of body and wisdom becomes clear. When one's own face is seen by oneself, One abides in the Dharmakaya Mahamudra. Liberated in the Unsurpassed Samantabhadra, Realization will manifest. The appearance of self-nature purity arises, The nature of mind is Buddha from the beginning. Because definite knowledge has not arisen, It becomes the realm of activity of the darkness of ignorance. One goes to the great city of the blind, Like a treasure of a poor woman, Abiding like a jewel held by a giant, The secret of self is severed by skillful means, Although one has it, one does not know it. The appearance of impure self-nature arises, But it has never been lost from the ultimate meaning. Ignorance itself is wisdom, Non-realization and realization are not different, Knowing and not knowing are the same. The appearance of samsara is nirvana, The appearance of suffering is great bliss, Darkness itself is clear as light. Everything abides in great Bodhi, There is nothing to accept or reject. Skillful means and wisdom are united, Ultimate and relative are all inseparable, Appearance and emptiness are of the same taste. The great emptiness possessing all aspects, Self-arisen without beginning or end. This is the natural way of abiding of Dharmata, Whatever is manifested by the individual, Is the supreme accomplishment of the Great Mudra, One obtains vast Siddhi. Thus it was said. From the Tantra of the Elephant King's Fierce Blow, the third chapter, which indicates the basis of all abiding. Then, the Bhagavan spoke this to make known the great city of ignorance. The Sugata-garbha, Bodhicitta, Is the seed that generates everything. There is no Dharma that is not generated by this, What appears as Dharma is the mind of delusion. The nature of mind is Buddha from the beginning, But because one does not know this, there is ignorance. Because the former habitual patterns are the same, There is co-emergent ignorance. Because one does not know to examine oneself, It is like a blind person wanting to look at the sky. Constantly discriminating and not understanding, This is the cause of the imputed ignorance. Virtuous, non-virtuous, and neutral actions, Practiced with superior, middling, and inferior intensity, Because of attachment to the five poisons, It is the cause of the arising of the three realms of samsara. The outer world appears as a place, The sentient beings within are grasped as self, The discrimination of self and other.
