The Teacher spoke on the ground: The Tathagata's teachings are called the ultimate truth. So, the Tathagata's teachings are: Whatever does not distinguish between me and others, that is the Tathagata's teachings. Whatever does not take sides, that is the Tathagata's teachings. Whatever does not separate cause and effect, that is the Tathagata's teachings. For the great expanse of Dharma-nature that has not arisen, there is no birth or death, and it is free from elaboration, that is the Tathagata's teachings. Everything is without birth, old age, sickness, death, and change, without self and without self, that is the Tathagata's teachings. There is no before or after in time, no high or low in space, and no long or short in duration, that is the Tathagata's teachings. From nothingness, everything appears, and while everything appears, it does not move from nothingness, that is the Tathagata's teachings. Without moving from one, countless inconceivable things appear, and while countless inconceivable things appear, it does not move from one, that is the Tathagata's teachings. Gathering into one and without two, appearing as three, that is the Tathagata's teachings. For the inconceivable, there is also no thinking, no speaking, and no counting, that is the Tathagata's teachings. Abandoning is not abandoning, and attachment is not attachment, that is the Tathagata's teachings. Everything appears, but nothing is established, inconceivable, immeasurable, and inestimable, that is the Tathagata's teachings. The Dharma that has not arisen, the unborn great awakening mind, the great equanimity mind, the Buddha, is unchanging like the Tathagata's teachings. Even if the earth could rise to the sky, and the rivers could flow backward, the Tathagata's teachings would not change. This is not with effort, but is the nature of non-effort. This is not with characteristics, but expands in the state of no characteristics, so it is also ultimate. This has no addition or subtraction and no waste, because it will surely be accomplished and perfected, so it is true. For example, in the land of India, there was a king named Balita, who was accomplished by merit and possessed the seven precious royal powers.

Having power over desires and turning away from desires with great compassion, a hungry and emaciated person appeared from the form of a beggar. The king said: Alas, sentient beings afflicted by hunger and thirst, rely a little on the enjoyment of desires. The Brahmin beggar said: Turquoise is piled on the golden mountain, and treasures such as sandbanks are spread out. Even if all these rivers flow into nectar, it is best to be content with wealth and food. The meaning needed is the supreme Buddha. Having said that, the king felt weary of the kingdom and was placed on the irreversible ground, just like that. This truth of the Tathagata's teachings is not like the Buddha and Bodhisattvas, but even if it is proclaimed from the drought bird, wild animals, fire sound, and wind sound, it should be known that it is shown by the blessing of the self-nature of Samantabhadra. Why is that? Because there is no good or bad and acceptance or rejection in everything. Question: What is प्रमाण (pramāṇa, measure)? Answer: प्रमाण (pramāṇa, measure) means to be upright and in accordance with reality, and going upwards is called प्रमाण (pramāṇa, measure). The Buddha's teachings प्रमाण (pramāṇa, measure) are immutable. The Vajra Master's teachings प्रमाण (pramāṇa, measure) are infallible. One's own realization प्रमाण (pramāṇa, measure) is unfabricated. Why is that? The Buddha's teachings प्रमाण (pramāṇa, measure) are immutable, because the Tathagata abides in the nature of reality by his power, not like the teachers of the heretics, who have agents and recipients, and the characteristics of permanence and annihilation. If the Vajra Master understands all such meanings and teaches them to those who are vessels without concealment, then he will immediately reach प्रमाण (pramāṇa, measure) and will not be misled into the causes of samsara and evil destinies. One's own realization प्रमाण (pramāṇa, measure) is unfabricated, because the nature of reality cannot be expressed in words and letters, not made by the Buddha, not fabricated by sentient beings, and beyond the limits of making and fabrication. If one realizes प्रमाण (pramāṇa, measure) in this way, one cannot be fabricated by karma and suffering, because it is unfabricated. प्रमाण (pramāṇa, measure) means certainty. प्रमाण (pramāṇa, measure) means without fault. प्रमाण (pramāṇa, measure) means ultimate perfection. Why is that? Because the ancient Buddhas of the past and the present
