Everything should be observed by the practitioner of conduct yoga. Then, the speaker Lion, the doer Vajra Samantabhadra, uttered the sound "Ala la ho" and said to the Bhagavan, the Lord of Secrets: If so, Bhagavan, what is it that the mind abides in the view of mantra? What is it that the mind abides in view and conduct? What is it that the mind abides only in conduct? The Lord of Secrets replied: Speaker Lion, well done! It is good that you ask me about this matter. Speaker Lion, secret mantra is the realm of thought of the Tathagata alone. Why is that? If the Tathagatas abandon even the ultimate truth, how can there be conventional truth? Because the two truths are inseparable. Those whose minds abide in view and conduct are those who have attained yoga and those who are close to the ground. Why is that? For yogis, in the equality of mind, for those of small mind, there is the principle of two truths, and in the ultimate sense, the mind is small for the principle of non-arising, and in the conventional sense, it is not without the principle of symbolic means, mudra, and illusion, because it possesses both signless yoga and signed yoga. That learning yoga is established by relying on the two truths and is accomplished by the magnitude of familiarity with the spontaneously accomplished ground. The yoga that follows sound, those who are far from meaning, their minds abide only in conduct. Why is that? Because in the inverted convention, even if one thinks of the true convention, one does not see the mandala of the deities. Speaker Lion, therefore, one should rely on the Dharma of the inverted convention of individual beings and know all Dharmas in the mandala of gods and goddesses of the true convention. One who is able to comprehend the ultimate truth by relying on the truth of the true convention is known as an intelligent person. Speaker Lion, the doer Vajra Samantabhadra asked: Bhagavan, what is the nature of the conduct of secret mantra? How should it be expressed, for example? The Bhagavan, the Lord of Secrets, replied: Speaker Lion

Ge, I will speak about the ways of conduct of secret mantras, listen well. I will satisfy you. O Lion of Speech, the conduct of secret mantras is inconceivable and difficult to fully express, but in short, it can be summarized into ten aspects. What are these ten? The practice of secret mantras, the distinctions of secret mantra names, the conduct of secret mantras, the attainments of secret mantras, the places of accomplishment of secret mantras, the recitation of secret mantras, the mudras of secret mantras, the samadhi of secret mantras, the views of secret mantras, and the magical powers of secret mantras. O Lion of Speech, there are also ten examples for these, namely: illusion, mirage, dream, reflection, city of gandharvas, echo, moon in water, water bubble, cataract, and the appearance of a whirling torch. O Lion of Speech, how are these? The characteristic of illusion is that through the effort of a person, and the combination of medicine and mantra, various appearances that captivate the senses appear, but this deceptive entity does not actually exist. Similarly, the characteristic of the practice of secret mantras is that through the combination of samadhi, syllables, and substances, signs of accomplishment appear, but these have no inherent nature. The characteristic of a mirage is that when beings tormented by thirst see water in a mirage under the hot sun, but there is no water's nature there. Similarly, the distinction of secret mantra names is that names and terms are assigned to what has no basis for designation, but where can the name itself be specified? The characteristic of a dream is that when a person falls asleep, they dream of many kinds of pleasant and unpleasant experiences, but upon awakening, nothing can be specified. Similarly, the conduct of secret mantras, no matter how it is practiced, is free from all objects of practice. The characteristic of a reflection is that it appears as a reflection of a face dependent on water, a mirror, or oil, but the face itself has not moved there. Similarly, the attainments of secret mantras arise dependent on practice, samadhi, and equipment, but are free from objects. The characteristic of a city of gandharvas is that in the sky, where the gandharvas reside,
