If it is said that abiding in the mind, acting in the mind, being free in the mind, viewing the mind, seeing the mind, and knowing the mind are not common to all, then why is the Lord of Secrets only the realm of the excellent, and not the realm of ordinary people? The Lord of Secrets said: Lord of Lanka, it is indeed so. Because from all aspects, they only determine the suchness of the mind as the nature of the cause, and do not fully understand that it is the result. Why is that? Because ordinary people and those on the ground are completely bound by the four nets. What are the four? Namely, the great net, the net, the half net, and the one net. That is, children, madmen, those with little understanding, and those with one understanding. Ordinary people only know the mind as the cause, so they are those with one understanding. Those people are completely bound by the net, completely tied by the net, so it is very difficult to certainly obtain the result. Why is that? Lord of Lanka, like this, whatever is the suchness of the mind-fruit, even the Buddhas cannot speak of it, Vajrasattva cannot represent it, let alone Bodhisattvas? The Lord of Lanka asked again: Lord of Secrets, have you not realized the suchness of the mind-fruit either? The Lord of Secrets said: Lord of Lanka, because I have not yet realized it, it is very difficult to show it to others. Why is that? Because that is the sole intention of the Bhagavan Vajrasattva. After the Lord of Secrets said this, all confusion and fear about Bodhi completely disappeared. The tenth chapter, the chapter on excellent distinctions, from the Great Sutra of the Collection of the Intentions of All Buddhas. After that, the Bodhisattvas of embodied mind, such as the Lord of Lanka, were amazed and astonished, and said this: O Lord of Secrets, as all the Buddhas, the Bhagavan, have said, the Lord of Secrets is the Lord of all the Tathagatas, the supreme secret of Vajrasattva.

Since that very truth cuts off all doubts about error, if the fruit of that very truth does not practice secret things, it is extremely rare, when will we surely find certainty? After saying this, the Lord of Secrets said: O warriors of inferior bodies, even Vajrasattva, the lord of all the Tathagatas, did not fully know all aspects even after practicing unimaginable austerities for three countless kalpas until he had not found the very truth of the secret mantra. How is that? In whatever way, countless Buddhas who have purified all tantras have already appeared and will appear, and they are practicing austerities until they have not found the certainty of that very truth. For example, after this fortunate kalpa, sixty evil kalpas of the borderlands will appear. After that, in the kalpa called 'Famous,' ten thousand Buddhas will appear. After that, eighty thousand evil kalpas will appear. After that, in the kalpa like stars scattered, eighty thousand Buddhas will appear. After that, three hundred dark kalpas will appear. After that, in the kalpa called 'Beautiful Ornament,' eighty-five thousand Buddhas will appear. Similarly, without end, kalpas of light and kalpas of darkness always appear in a continuous cycle. Thus, in this fortunate kalpa, one thousand and two Buddhas will appear. Before this fortunate kalpa, one hundred dark kalpas appeared. Before that, in the kalpa called 'Complete,' one hundred crore Buddhas appeared. Before that passed, one hundred border kalpas appeared. Before that passed, in the kalpa called 'Good Ornament,' eighty-four crore Buddhas appeared. Before that passed, five hundred dark kalpas appeared. Before that passed, in the kalpa called 'Seeing Joy,' ten crore Buddhas appeared. Before that passed, seven hundred dark kalpas appeared. Before that passed, in the kalpa called 'Joyful,' sixty thousand Buddhas appeared. Like that, endlessly, dark and light kalpas appear alternately, without beginning.

Without beginning or end, occurring and occurring. However many lamps have appeared and will appear, until the certainty of the secret mantra is not found, even if immeasurable hardships are endured, all aspects will not be known, will not be known, and will not become known. As soon as the certainty of the secret mantra is found, all aspects are known. Known, will be known. Similarly, in the past, beyond countless eons, in immeasurable, inconceivable eons, in a great eon called "Manifest Joy," at the time when thirty-three thousand Buddhas appeared, under the teachings of the last Buddha, Samantabhadra, five great supreme beings arose from the five castes of kings, commoners, lords, Brahmins, and Chandalas, namely: the boy Dekyob, the boy Tralita, the boy Pasin, the boy Legin, and the boy Dumbur. At that time, the Buddha Vajrasattva was the boy Dekyob. At that time, the Buddha Amitayus was the boy Tralita. At that time, the Buddha Ratnasambhava was the boy Pasin. At that time, the Buddha Vairochana was the boy Legin. At that time, the Buddha Amoghasiddhi was the boy Dumbur. At that time, when these boys generated the supreme yoga mind towards the Buddha Samantabhadra, they generated eight minds in the world and traversed eight worldly paths, abiding on the uncertain ground. At that time, even though they severed doubts about thirty-three thousand Buddhas, they did not find certainty. In the initial stage of practice, they generated three minds, comprehended the ten directions, and relied upon and abided on the foundational ground. At that time, even though they severed doubts about forty-four thousand Buddhas, they did not find certainty. In the stage of distinguishing the great lineages, the four minds were perfected, the ten directions were comprehended, and they became givers of merit. At that time, even though they severed doubts about fifty-five thousand Buddhas, they did not find certainty. Again, at the time of entering the great breath
