When spreading the Buddha's teachings, those who harbor malice and are of harsh character, who harm the Sangha, destroy the wealth of temples, destroy temples and solitary places, disturb the minds of Bodhisattvas, create obstacles to meditation practice, slander holy lamas, harm all sentient beings, always engage in sinful deeds, create divisions in the Sangha, harbor malice, and turn their backs on the Three Jewels. In short, those who harm the spread of the Buddha's teachings and harm sentient beings, such targets are objects of killing. In particular, those who, without any fault of their own, harbor arrogance, pride, and contempt, who instigate thieves and engage in robbery, who display beatings, insults, robbery, violence, and strife, who cut off people's lifelines for no reason, who slander others and pursue lineage, who harbor malice and cut off lifelines. In short, yogis who harbor hatred towards oneself and who, through body, speech, and mind, do harm and hatred, because they are special enemies, are objects of swift killing. Those who have no fault of their own but are framed by others are objects of killing. Obstacles are those who are tormented by karma, types of malevolent spirits whose bodies and minds are not in harmony, who naturally harm others, who obstruct white virtuous deeds, who steal life and secretly harm life, who harm fame, power, etc., who obstruct ascension and liberation, the causes of cyclic existence in the lower realms, etc., demons and gods of the demon class, who seek opportunities, spy on weaknesses, destroy body and life, create various obstacles to practice, any demon and spirit, for virtuous deeds and thoughts, whatever creates obstacles, non-humans are objects of killing. Having identified the target in this way, the method of creating the image of the enemy obstacle is to sculpt or paint it, and write the name on the nameplate. First, sculpting, using each of their filth, remains, and earth, earth from cemeteries, remains of corpses, earth from places where ghosts live, poison, blood, corpses, coal, ashes from tombs, places where lepers who are extinct live, roads they have traveled, land for houses, etc., in short, things that are very inauspicious, from things that arise from evil deeds, using black soil, heavy tsampa flour, black rye flour, and ashes from tombs, various types of earth from their respective activities, whatever arises from wherever, the size of the image is the same as the body, the medium size is the same as the target's.

One arrow's length, or at least a handspan high. The form should correspond to the senses and the birth place. Thin and weak, lacking strength, with an expression of weariness and weeping, a form with limbs stiff or contracted, flesh wasted away, a skeleton of bones. For demons, it is the form of a hungry ghost, with a large belly and thin limbs, a thin neck and a large head, eyes turned upwards, pupils protruding, mouth open, tongue extended and hanging down. Whether male or female, the genitals should be exposed. In any case, all parts of the body should be complete, and the colors should be changed with appropriate colors, because it is the pledge to which consciousness clings, so the form and the birth place should correspond. The drawn lingam should be based on a corpse cloth, poison paper, etc., and some are made of field skin, etc. Whichever it is, the large size is one arrow's length, the medium size is one cubit, and the smallest is one handspan plus four fingers high. The ink is mostly poisonous blood, and each should be drawn with appropriate materials. That is also to make the birth place correspond, with complete senses and complete limbs, mouth and eyes open, hair standing on end, hands and feet wearing iron shackles, making it look like it is killing itself. Draw it that way, and some depict the likeness of the target as an image. Those and these different details should be arranged by those with discriminating wisdom according to the circumstances. In the heart drawn in that way, write ནརྀ་ (Tibetan, Devanagari, Romanized Sanskrit, literal meaning) for the enemy, and ཏྲི (Tibetan, Devanagari, Romanized Sanskrit, literal meaning) for the demon. Finally, write their respective names and surnames, and ཛཿཧཱུཾ་བཾ་ཧོཿ (Tibetan, Devanagari, Romanized Sanskrit, literal meaning). Write མ་ར ཡ་ཁུག་ཛ། (Tibetan, Devanagari, Romanized Sanskrit, literal meaning) with the head of the letter facing inward. Write "bone" on the forehead, and "དུང་དུང་ཛ་ཛ་ (Tibetan, Devanagari, Romanized Sanskrit, literal meaning)" on the mouth. Write "བླ་དགས་ (Tibetan, Devanagari, Romanized Sanskrit, literal meaning)" on the thighs. Write ནརྀ་ཏྲི་ (Tibetan, Devanagari, Romanized Sanskrit, literal meaning) on the two buttocks. Write ཕཊ་ (Tibetan, Devanagari, Romanized Sanskrit, literal meaning) on the genitals, and ཡི། (Tibetan, Devanagari, Romanized Sanskrit, literal meaning) on the feet. (Tibetan, Devanagari, Romanized Sanskrit, literal meaning) on the limbs. Write མཱ་ར་ཡ་ནན་ (Tibetan, Devanagari, Romanized Sanskrit, literal meaning) on the crown of the head. On the right, write "sever the paternal lineage," and on the left, write "wither the maternal lineage in the womb." In front or on the belly, write "stir up existence," and so on, write whatever curses you know. Finally, write the appropriate karma mantra. After that, surround it with ཛཿ (Tibetan, Devanagari, Romanized Sanskrit, literal meaning) and bloodstains, and frogs, snakes, and scorpions intertwined. Make it look like there is no way to escape, trapped in a chaos of the elements, the base without ground, to be drawn completely enclosed. Apart from that, each should draw according to their karma and results. On the image drawn in that way, smear each with their own filth, the mantras are not recited, but left as they are. In order to diminish their power, fold it upside down, and the method of placing it should also be done that way.
