In these degenerate times, regarding the illusory appearances of body and wisdom, it is said to be the reason for different kinds of people. For all Buddhas of the three times, common appearances cannot be prevented, and the conceptualizations of Buddhas are also, in name, said to be the reason. Even the gods of the four realms of existence, not relying on the four elements, and the sentient beings of the six realms not created by the four elements, are also said to be the reason for different kinds of people. The existence of the intermediate state of bardo, not grasping the continuum of any being, and sentient beings other than the six realms, are also said to be the reason for different kinds of people. Thus it is said. In the Mirror of Miraculous Treasure, the chapter on explaining the reasons for different kinds of people is the third. Again, it was asked: Kye! Kye! Lord of Secrets! The happiness, suffering, and pain of Buddhas and sentient beings, good and bad, big and small, faults and virtues, Dharma and Dharmata, truth and falsehood, outer objects and inner mind, are they one or different? Please, Lord of Secrets, reveal it. The Lord of Secrets said: Kye! Great Bodhisattva, listen! Those meanings asked earlier, appear as different to those who have not realized them. But if the meaning of Bodhi is realized, everything is undifferentiated in the state of oneness. Thus it is said. In the Mirror of Miraculous Treasure, the chapter on eliminating the extremes of difference in oneness is the fourth. Again, it was asked: Kye! Kye! Lord of Secrets! For Dharmata, which is without action, is it not contradictory to divide it into six bindus? For great and immeasurable qualities, is it not contradictory to condense them into five greatnesses? For Dharmata, which is without conceptualization, is it not contradictory to say that there are three "is"? Please, Lord of Secrets, reveal it. The Lord of Secrets said: Kye! Great Bodhisattva, listen! For Dharmata, which is without action, dividing it into six bindus is also, the Dharmata of Bodhicitta, divided by considering the aspects of qualities. Therefore, there is no contradiction in that. For great and immeasurable qualities, condensing them into five greatnesses is also, the basis is combined with the four yogas, and one is repeated for all. Therefore, there is no contradiction in that. For Dharmata, which is without conceptualization, saying that there are three "is" is also, it is the Dharmata of Bodhicitta, because it is connected with everything, it is also the continuum. For those who have entered the pure path, because it can be grasped, it is also the scripture. In the Dharmata of practice, because there is nothing other than supreme Bodhicitta, therefore, it is the supreme secret instruction.

It is. Therefore, there is no contradiction there. The nature of mind as it is, that is Samantabhadrī. Skill and power unceasing, that is Samantabhadra. Just like the ocean and waves, or conch and whiteness, or gold and yellowness, it exists without being used for any purpose, therefore there is no contradiction there. Thus it was said. From The Treasury Mirror of Illusion, the fifth chapter is the chapter on the important strike of wisdom. Again, he asked: Alas! Lord of Secrets! What does the word "dharma" refer to? What does the word "svabhāva" refer to? Please, Lord of Secrets, explain. The Lord of Secrets said: Alas! Great Bodhisattva, listen! Just as the phenomena that appear, are named "dharma." Absence of inherent existence is dharmatā. Dharma is earth, dharmatā is solidity. Dharma is water, dharmatā is liquidity. Dharma is fire, dharmatā is heat. Other things like that should also be considered. Dharma is bodhicitta, dharmatā is awareness and clarity. The meanings of what has been said, such as these, are to establish dharma and dharmatā. Thus it was said. From The Treasury Mirror of Illusion, the sixth chapter is the chapter on explaining dharma and dharmatā. Again, he asked: Alas! Alas! Lord of Secrets! What is the difference between hearing, contemplating, and meditating? Please, Lord of Secrets, explain. The Lord of Secrets said: Alas! Great Bodhisattva, listen! If the meaning itself is not experienced, no matter how profound the words spoken, it will not conform to the meaning. Explanation is the drought of words, like the wind scattering the tassels of reeds. Meditation makes dharmatā conform to meaning. Explaining by speaking in words is like telling the story of sugar. The blow given by the instruction of meditation is like handing sugar into the hand. Experiencing the meaning itself is like putting sugar into the mouth and tasting it. Thus it was said. Again it was said: If samādhi does not conform to meaning, even if one accumulates many words of hearing, it is like a child doing arithmetic and so on. That also is dharma devoured by wrong views, dharmatā and meaning have no intersection. Hearing gives rise to understanding of words, contemplation gives rise to discriminating wisdom, meditation gives rise to understanding of meaning. Therefore, experiencing it is most important. Thus it was said. From The Treasury Mirror of Illusion, the seventh chapter is the chapter on explaining the difference between hearing, contemplating, and meditating. Again, he asked
