Then, how are the five categories of cutting off elaborations according to your own doctrine? Having asked this, the teacher who is unrepresentable and beyond words, to the pure self-illuminating youth of the retinue, to the spontaneously accomplished dharmakaya, the essence of being, qualities are unceasing, appearances arise in any way at all. From the rays of arising, the awareness of arising is born. Even though it arises, it does not stray from the meaning of the essence. The undeparted essence, the unmade dharmakaya, by the power of self-arising, awareness distinguishes individually. Having distinguished, therefore, for the sake of practicing the five categories of cutting off elaborations, the meaning of one's own doctrine is explained. The cutting off of elaborations of viewing, the cutting off of elaborations of meditation, the cutting off of elaborations of conduct, the cutting off of elaborations of fruition, and the cutting off of elaborations of pith instructions. The eighth chapter, which distinguishes the five categories of cutting off elaborations individually. The self-illuminating awareness youth, to the unrepresentable dharmakaya beyond words, how is the cutting off of elaborations of viewing? Having asked this, the unrepresentable dharmakaya beyond words spoke: The gate of eighty-four thousand vehicles, the various different views, unutterable, inconceivable. I have not shown the views of remembrance and analysis, the views of thought and intellect, all that is to be viewed and the viewer, all that is to be spoken and the speaker, all that is the object, appearance, and mental construct, is unrepresentable and beyond words. Without desire or intention, cut off elaborations. The ninth chapter, the cutting off of elaborations of viewing. The pure youth of the retinue, the self-illuminating one, to the unrepresentable dharmakaya beyond words, how is the cutting off of elaborations of meditation? The dharmakaya beyond words spoke: The gate of eighty-four thousand vehicles, the various different meditations, unutterable, inconceivable. That meditation which is imprisoned by the mind, is the meditation of fourfold mindfulness. The effort of meditating with mental discrimination and intellect, the effort of the object of meditation and the meditator, the meditation of contrived intention and wishful thinking, these three efforts, do not realize the meaning that is beyond thought. Without thinking, without meditating, in the heart center of meaning, do not do any thinking or meditating, that non-thinking is the dharmakaya. Without awareness, without change, without mind, without thought, not wishful thinking, separated from the realm of intellect, not meditation, there is no object of meditation.

Sa! What cannot be found by thought, there is nothing to think about. In the space of non-thought, non-conceptuality, and immutability, cut off proliferation. This is the tenth chapter, cutting off the proliferation of meditation. The self-illuminating wisdom child asked: For the Dharmakaya, which is beyond expression and words, how does one cut off the proliferation of conduct? The Dharmakaya, which is beyond expression and words, said: The eighty-four thousand gates of Dharma, however many different conducts there are, are all for taming and accomplishing what is desired. Words cannot exhaust it, and thoughts cannot encompass it. Here, the Dharmakaya has not fully spoken. Whatever appears in the realm of appearance, the appearance of Dharmadhatu has no self-nature. No matter how the mind of wisdom examines it, the thoughts of the mind are temporary. No matter how it appears as appearance and mind, non-attachment and non-greed are the supreme conduct. Whatever appears, as long as one does not cling to the mother, that is the adornment of conduct. Whatever is not abandoned and not cultivated, that is the supreme conduct. Whatever appears, whatever is known, whatever is thought, as long as self-grasping does not arise within, that is the essence of conduct. Whatever various appearances appear, as long as there is no mental attachment to them, that is the supreme conduct. However many kinds of conduct there are, in the state of abandoning the action of conduct, the three doors of body, speech, and mind should not be labored. For the uninterrupted action of conduct, do not cling to anything that can be done. For whatever one does not cling to or crave, the supreme conduct is non-action. Conduct is not fabricated, there is no fabrication. Abandoning all actions, in the space of non-action and non-doing, free from proliferation, cut off proliferation. This is the eleventh chapter, cutting off the proliferation of conduct. The excellent one of the retinue, the self-illuminating child, asked: For the Dharmakaya, which is beyond expression and words, how does one cut off the proliferation of the fruit? The Dharmakaya, which is beyond expression and words, said: For the Dharmakaya, which is spontaneously accomplished, there is no attainment or non-attainment. However, because one has not realized that the Dharmakaya is without limit, without ceasing the eighty-four thousand gates of Dharma, all the ways of attaining the fruit, the fruit obtained after abandoning, is said to be the fruit of wishful thinking. The fruit of hope and doubt I have not spoken of, the fruit of diligent practice I have not spoken of, the fruit of desire I have not spoken of, the fruit of expectation I have not
