Acting for the benefit of beings with wisdom and compassion, perfecting the hearing and contemplation of the cause-and-effect vehicle, possessing conduct, power, and view, being skilled in all the sutras, vinaya, and abhidharma, the wise understand the true meaning, and with skillful means like a precious jewel, the lama will show the Nine Peaks (Dugtse). To this, future fortunate ones should practice with faith, diligence, and respect. A teacher who does not possess these qualities has a bad lineage, is untamed, speaks nonsense, has low intelligence, no vows, does not understand the meaning, has strong five poisons, engages in worldly activities, lacks compassion, wisdom, and skillful means, cannot become a reliable person, is like a monkey, and for the blind who are ignorant, leads them astray on the path of the teachings, is bound by the poison of clinging to conceptual thoughts, and abandons them in the ocean of samsara. One must carefully examine and abandon such a demon. Thus it is said. The precious nectar essence drop is the tantra that gathers the intention of all the Buddhas. Among them, it is the second chapter that explains the characteristics of the essence. Then, Kunrig the young boy asked the teacher Vajrapani: When will this Nine Peaks (Dugtse) definitive meaning collection flourish? You have not said that children of inferior lineage are the object of practice. What are the characteristics of a vessel in the future? What should be abandoned? Thus he asked. The teacher Vajrapani replied: A disciple who enters this definitive meaning is of good lineage, has a gentle mind, has compassion, is disgusted with samsara, desires enlightenment, has faith, diligence, and great wisdom, has tamed his mind, has received empowerment, has pure vows, is generous, has no arrogance, has dispelled ignorance, is upright and steadfast, has no defilements, is free from doubt, does not care about life, seeks the true meaning, is diligent in practice, is courageous and bold, and is wise. He is the vessel of my supreme collection. Teach it to the disciple who has the signs, and he will become the one who holds the essence of the teachings. A disciple who does not possess these qualities is sweet-tongued but hard-hearted, deceitful, self-made, steals the teachings, desires skillful means, praises himself, criticizes the wise, has great pride, has little learning, has low intelligence, has wrong views, has no faith, diligence, or wisdom, blames others, lacks compassion and the vows of samaya, is diligent in wrong actions, is lazy in practice, has no respect for the lama, is full of doubt, is fickle and false, uses flattering words, clings to words, goes against the Dharma, slanders the lama, and utters evil words. For those who are like poisonous snakes and have no merit, even if the sky falls and the earth shakes, they should not be taught. There is no fault in this meaning, but only low intelligence and evil.

Delusions are added on, not conforming to the correct meaning, so they are secretly thrown into the hell of illusion, as it is said. In the tantra of the essence of precious nectar, which embodies the intention of all Buddhas, the third chapter, which explains the characteristics of the vessel, is complete. Then, Kunrig the Young Boy asked the Lord of Secrets, the Teacher: "For future fortunate ones who have faith in this nine-pointed one, how does one enter the unmoving gateway that has been taught, both gradually and simultaneously?" After he asked this, the Lord of Secrets, the Teacher, spoke to the assembly: "My unborn, primordially pure, and impartial nature is such that there is no effort in entering without moving from it. There is no entering anywhere, so entering is supreme. Because that very nature is not indicated, one does not understand existence or non-existence. Listen to the instructions on entering without effort. There are two types of people who enter this in the future: those with intelligence who have studied the vehicle and those who have not. Those who have studied the vehicle are of two types: the causal vehicle and the resultant vehicle. For those who have studied the causal vehicle, all the resultant vehicles are taught, and then they enter that meaning simultaneously. For those who have studied both the cause and the result, the general meaning of the Dharma that transcends is taught simultaneously. If those with intelligence have not studied anything, then the faults of the bad vessel are corrected, and elaboration is cut off. Then, it is applied to the meaning of the unsurpassed. The faults of the bad vessel, ordinary wrong views, and the defilements of inferior vehicle tenets are cleared away. Because the ordinary state of being is not known, one engages in grasping and fixation with the illusion of one's own mindstream. Reversing from that is the path to liberation. Wrong views, nihilistic eternalists, enter the path of the common vehicle. Inferior Hearers and Solitary Realizers enter the path of the Great Vehicle of the cause. The bonds of elaboration are of three kinds: general, specific, and particular. The general is the vehicle and the tenets, which are fabricated by the mind, and the elaboration of grasping and attachment is cut off. The specific is the resultant vehicle, and the elaboration of effort, practice, and wishful thinking is cut off. The particular is the pinnacle of the vehicle, and the three divisions of Ati are cut off from elaboration. This is not a gradual entry. If it is not studied and not taught in this way, one will not be liberated from the expanse of the Dharma that transcends. In order to show certainty, it is important to teach that. Then, it is applied to the meaning of the unsurpassed. Empowerment is obtained, one is powerful in emptying the extremes, and one recognizes the unborn, Dharma-transcending self-nature. Without searching, one is perfected and transcends the limits. Then, all activities are abandoned, and the completely perfected, end-annihilated, Dharma-transcending state of being is left in its own place of general meaning. Gradual entry, effort, and practice are abandoned from the beginning, as it is said.
