With the intention of the mind, knowing that Vajrasattva had spoken of the meaning of the single root, he then declared: O great assembly of those gathered, listen now! In this Bodhicitta Sutra, One is the nature of all, The Dharmadhatu or Bodhicitta, Therefore, it is established as the meaning of the root. The meaning of one is like this: The body and wisdom of the Buddhas, The body and habitual tendencies of sentient beings, All phenomena of appearance and existence, Are all contained within Bodhicitta and the Dhatu. One as the cause, one as the result, One as the example, one as the meaning, The root, Bodhicitta, is one, Signs and reasoning are consistent as one, It is shown as the meaning of non-elaboration. This single cause, Bodhicitta, Is the entirety of the Buddhas of the three times, Not abiding in characteristics, the Dharmakaya is one, Speech, being without cessation, is one, Unobstructed wisdom is one in the heart, The meaning of non-elaboration is one, Mind, body, and habitual tendencies, Arise from the single cause, Bodhicitta. Cause and the aspect of cause are two, The cause is the five great elements, The five elements, the very nature of the cause, are Bodhicitta, The suffering of beings is Bodhicitta, That which establishes the inherent nature from the mind, From the five desires, the five elements are established, From the five elements, self-arising is born, Phenomena of appearance and phenomena of existence, Through the cause and conditions of non-conceptualization, Having produced, however they may arise, Because in ultimate truth there is no birth, Therefore, it is shown as the meaning of non-elaboration. This meaning of the single result is also, Just like the manner of the single cause, The result of all phenomena is one. And how is that? For example, all inner and outer phenomena, Whatever cause is established upon that, Is the meaning of the oneness of cause and result, The perversion of the minds of beings, Through the cause of suffering of the five desires, The inexhaustible result revolves in the five aggregates, Upon that, the name of result is not applied, Suffering, The origin of all, the path of cessation, Abandoning, obstructing, and burning, And also manifesting on the path, Is also the result of conquering the five afflictions, Not born, not ceasing, it is not a result. Through the contemplation of the two truths, Impermanence, suffering, emptiness, selflessness, Understanding the meaning of the four great Sutras, That result of the emptiness of Dharmata, Is not a result that transcends cause and effect. Also, the three sections of outer Tantra.

Having cultivated all the limbs of enlightenment, having arranged Vajradhara and the dense array, what is attained is the fruit of the Vajra, not the fruit of acceptance and rejection. The generation stage and the completion stage, if the meaning of the three aspects is combined, in the mandala of one's own pure lineage, with the rituals of the four approaches and accomplishments, one's own self is also spontaneously accomplished, this is also not the fruit of effort and accomplishment. The nature of the unborn is the fruit of non-arising and non-ceasing. Not relying on the five elements, not depending on body, speech, and mind, it is the fruit that transcends cause and effect. With unobstructed, self-arisen wisdom, one acts without abandoning anything, because there is no grasping and clinging to conceptual thoughts, it is the fruit of no acceptance and rejection. The nature of mind is self-arisen wisdom, originally sought and without accomplishment, therefore free from the elaboration of effort and accomplishment, it is the fruit of spontaneous accomplishment. The mind of enlightenment that transcends imputation and denial, with the meaning of non-elaboration, the essence of all is the body of the Buddha, unobstructed wisdom is the realm of Dharma, the non-ceasing realm of the mind of enlightenment, the non-arising and non-ceasing wisdom mind, there is no cause and effect, the one root of the mind of enlightenment, appears as the cause of all, the nature of the cause is self-arisen and unborn, only a name represents one as the fruit. The name 'fruit' is not established. That which is established is the representation, with the meaning of representation, it represents the unrepresentable. That also is the meaning to be represented. That meaning which cannot be represented, if not represented, cannot be understood, therefore, with the meaning that cannot be represented, represent with words, thereby understanding the meaning that cannot be represented. All dharmas are without arising. The nature of the unborn is the mind of enlightenment without arising and ceasing. In the mind of enlightenment, without arising, if not represented, that unborn cannot be seen. With the meaning of non-arising, represent with words, thereby seeing the unborn. All dharmas are free from imputation and denial. The mind of enlightenment that is free from imputation and denial is the mind of enlightenment that cannot be expressed. In the mind of enlightenment, without expression, if not expressed, it cannot be known. With the meaning that cannot be expressed, express with words, thereby knowing the meaning of expression and non-expression. All dharmas are without arising and ceasing. In the nature of non-arising and non-ceasing, it has not been said that there is anything that can be represented, because it cannot be represented, it is free from imputation and denial.
