It is taught. Thus, it is said in the Guhyasamaja Tantra. The first chapter mainly explains the first chapter spoken by the Buddha himself. I prostrate to the Bhagavan, the Lord of Secrets, Vajrapani. Thus I have heard, at one time, the Bhagavan, the Great Vajradhara, from the space where the body does not abide, with the self-arisen wisdom light, from the nostril's air passage, from the five self-arisen lights, the emanation body, the Lord of Secrets, Vajrapani, arose spontaneously. The Great Vajradhara then spoke: Vajrapani, listen! When going from the Buddha-land to the Buddha-field, in order to liberate from the limits of the Dharma, when reciting the intention, the tantra that gathers the intentions of all Buddhas, the Great Tantra of the Gathering of Buddhas, Yeshe Lama, is taught with seven general meanings. The first chapter, Vajrasattva, after entrusting the testament to the Lord of Secrets, Vajrapani, explains that the intention like a vajra has no antidote. The second chapter, the Lord of Secrets asks Vajradhara about the Suchness of all Dharmas. The third chapter, Vajrapani entrusts the instructions to the Bodhisattvas. The fourth chapter explains that the special realization of the follower is liberated from the Dharma through recitation. The fifth chapter explains that the realized being manifestly attains enlightenment on the Vajra seat. The sixth chapter explains that there is no Buddha. The seventh chapter explains that because there is no Buddha, great yoga has no fruit. Then, the Bodhisattva Mahasattva asked: Great Compassion, is the Suchness of all Dharmas uncreated? Is it non-dual? Is it equality? Is it immovable? Is it spontaneously accomplished? Is it just the clarity of awareness without conceptualization? Is it just the clarity of things without inherent existence? Is it emptiness? Is it just knowing all phenomena as illusion? Is it the Suchness of all Dharmas that is unmoving like an ocean of Samadhi and that awareness arises without conceptualization? What is it like? I do not know, I do not understand. Please, you who possess compassion and skillful means, prophesy to me.

After the question was asked, the Bhagavan declared: "Vajrapani, listen, it is good that you have asked this question. The intention of the perfectly complete Buddha is like the edge of the sky. It is deeper than the great ocean. It is finer than the seed of the kumuda flower. It cannot be measured by scripture and reasoning. Son of lineage, that which is called the Suchness of all dharmas is also a supreme term symbolizing all dharmas. The perfectly complete Buddha does not abide in all dharmas. Moreover, those who abide in the stage of conduct through faith of Bodhisattvas, the dharma they experience in the knowable is to understand that the uncorrected nature of oneself is the Dharmata. Because the uncorrected Dharmata does not distinguish between self and other, it is called non-duality. Because one-pointedly abiding in equanimity in the meaning of non-duality, it is called the equality of Dharmata. When the mind of Bodhi abides in equanimity, the three doors of body, speech, and mind have no movement, so it is called the unmoving ocean. From the state of the unmoving mind of Bodhi, various powers of wisdom arise. At the moment of arising, it is not different from one's own awareness, and when it manifests as various spontaneously arising wisdoms, it is called spontaneously accomplished wisdom. When that awareness itself is clear and there is no conceptualization, it abides like a lamp not moved by the wind, that is only one's own awareness, not an object. The non-cessation of the five consciousnesses that illuminate objects is just the path, and understanding that phenomena that appear have no inherent existence, but are merely illusions and mirages, is not the intention of the Buddha, but the conduct of Bodhisattvas who practice with faith. The intention of the Buddha is neither empty nor non-empty, and the so-called emptiness does not lead to nihilistic views, but is spoken of as emptiness in order to temporarily reverse attachment to objects. The meaning of the so-called emptiness is that Dharmata is empty because it is not established as an object, and it is Suchness because wisdom has no arising or ceasing. Knowing objects as merely illusions is just the arising of awareness from turning away from objects. The appearance of awareness without conceptualization in the experience of merely abiding in the mind is just a dharma of a little bit of meditation, it is Suchness.
