The benefit of the Tantras is to eliminate the suffering of the five poisons of affliction and samsara, and to be born in the pure Buddha-fields of liberation, the good realms. The measure of the Tantras is eight. The nature of the Tantras is the nature of the heart essence, abiding without change at all times and in all places. The characteristic of the Tantras is pervasive connection like a fishing net. The necessity is like the pivot of a scale. The divisions are like the fingers of a hand. The benefit is like the effectiveness of medicine. The meaning illustrated by the metaphor is like the lineage of people and water.
