From the very beginning, purity manifests, without needing to cleanse the stains of appearance. Separated from breath, it naturally becomes pure. Thus it is said. From the 'Precious Great Light of the Stainless Primordial Purity Tantra,' the fourth chapter, which reveals the Dharmakaya's Primordial Purity, the Precious Light Blazing. Then Vajradhara asked: O! O! Bhagavan, Knower, Clear Mind! How are the five wisdom bodies pure from the very beginning? How is the abiding manner of the five wisdom bodies clear? How is the appearance of subtle and coarse stains clear? How is liberation possible in the state of purity? Please definitely bestow teachings upon the assembled retinue. Vajradhara bestowed teachings: Vajradhara, listen attentively! The essence of the Dharmakaya possesses the five elements. One's own awareness is uninterrupted, like a lamp inside a vase. From the position of the five elements, awareness transforms. The movement without breath is the wisdom wind. Possessing the clarity of five wisdoms, the characteristics of light are pure from the very beginning. The clear flower, the five wisdom bodies, arise from ignorance, following after objects. The characteristics of things, formless thoughts, possess clarity, obscuration, arising, and ceasing. Dualistic mind, clinging to the appearance of characteristics, is pure from the very beginning. The clinging to grasping at what is not there is pure from the very beginning. The abiding manner of the five wisdom bodies is: The Dharmakaya possesses the nature of the five elements. Unmoving, clear, and non-conceptual. In wisdom without partiality, the Dharmakaya is the mind without memory or concept. The essence, the condensed quintessence, is the formless body. The nature of the body, the essence, is the five elements. Without things, without change, qualities without stain. The original, non-dual, self of the five elements. Thus, the uninterrupted wisdom wind of awareness. The movement without breath appears in the face of wisdom. Earth and wind, slow and clear, are the cause of the appearance of the five bodies. The wind of water flows and condenses into the essence of the five bodies. The wind of fire flows and the five bodies are perfected in mudras. The wind of wind flows and moves in the expanse of dharmata. The body colors and mudras are unmixed, each clear. The uninterrupted nature, the inexpressible speech. The meaning of wisdom has no mudras of characteristics. The nature of wisdom is clear from the very beginning. The five Nirmanakayas flash and gleam clearly. Without the characteristics of things, those to be tamed cannot see. Because it is wisdom, self-illumination is without cessation. Transcending mind, moving everywhere, there is no grasper or grasped. Only to accumulated things does it appear like an illusion. The changing objects of mind, the agreeable characteristics, are also wisdom.

The five bodies are like radiant jewels, from the power of wind arises the aspect of mind. The five winds clash, thus perfecting the five elements. In the realm of Dharmata, it is merely a magical display of wisdom. Like reflections in a mirror, the moon in water, a rainbow. Unobstructed, unreal, unmixed, they appear distinctly. Outwardly and inwardly conceived by the mind, though obscuring the wisdom body. Yet, in the face of wisdom, there are no real signs, pure from the beginning. This mere appearance is the radiance of the wisdom body. To realize this is the primordial purity of wisdom. The wisdom of discerning individually is clear in the face. By being free from breath, impurities are self-purified. Like the radiance of a face appearing within a water bubble. Empty and clear, unobstructed, the very subtle essence. Like clarity unmixed in a crystal bowl. The Dharmakaya is immaculate, clear in its transparency. Thus it is said. From the Great Luminous Precious Garland of the Immaculate Primordial Purity Tantra, the fifth chapter, which reveals the precious luminosity of the primordial purity of wisdom. Then Vajradhara asked: Kye, kye, compassionate Bhagavan! How is the Nirmanakaya pure from the beginning? How does the abiding of the Nirmanakaya remain? From what do subtle and coarse impurities arise? What is the way of purifying these two impurities? Thus he asked. The Self-Arisen Compassionate One replied: The nature of reality is pure from the beginning, like a spotless mirror. The rays of self-arisen wisdom shine forth, the movement of non-movement. The wisdom wind generates five rays, appearing on the thread of continuous compassion. Revolving in the realm of pure Dharmata. The great wind of the five elements performs the five actions of generation, gathering, ripening, and generation, the fruit of the Dharmakaya ripens into the Rupakaya. Immovable, Ratnasambhava, Limitless, Accomplished, Illuminator, all appear as faces. This is the Dharmakaya, the Nirmanakaya, the power of the wisdom body. Later, in the self-appearance of those to be tamed, the awareness of the tamer is also self-manifest. The mandala of knowable things appears in light. The self-arisen five bodies emerge from the tube of light. Without seeking, great wisdom is spontaneously accomplished. From the stream of compassion, liberate the common beings to be tamed. The immaculate body, speech, and mind are unwavering. In the sheath of habitual tendencies, there is the subtle body of the form aggregate. Subtle and coarse obscurations appear in the state of conceptual thought. The qualities of the five bodies are the light of blazing jewels. The essence is primordially pure, without subtle or coarse from the beginning. To realize this is like the eight vehicles. Without effort or practice, impurities are pure from the beginning. Without seeking, naturally
