Thus, it was asked in this place. O, O, Bhagavan Vajradhara! Please speak the definitive principles of secret mantra. Thus it was asked. Again, the command was given: Hey! Lord of Secrets, listen well! What I teach, do not be distracted, listen with your mind. I will teach the definitive principles of mantra. Listen respectfully with a pure mind. Listen without distraction with a non-conceptual mind. The great definitive principle of mantra is, For what reason is it said to desire the nature of reality? That is also taught as follows: It is said to be the non-conceptual nature of reality. Because the sphere is adorned with the body, If one only realizes the single bindu, then one does not see it. Because the bindu is adorned with the body, If one only realizes the body, then one does not see it. Because the body is pervaded by the bindu, If one realizes non-duality, then one sees it. Because non-duality is adorned with clarity, For what reason are the definitive principles explained? If there is any grasping, Then there will be no seeing of wisdom. Because there is no grasping of wisdom, If there is a mind of attachment, Then one will not see true wisdom. Because luminosity is without attachment, If there is a mind of clinging, Then one will not see the non-conceptual dharmakaya. Because there is no clinging to the body, If there is a mind of conceptualization, Then one will not see one's own suchness. Because the lamp is without conceptualization, If one wants to strive for the grounds and paths, Then one will not realize the appearances of the bardo. Because the grounds and paths cannot be purified, By connecting with the name of what is needed, Then that itself becomes devoid of essence. If there is no mind of signs, Then it becomes emptiness, a state without words. If one seeks meaning apart from the mind, Then one will abandon the king of awareness. The mudra of the Victorious Ones is, Beyond the two of changing and not changing. The deities and so forth of the meaning of secret mantra, There is no arising and not arising. For the flesh, blood, life, and body of sentient beings, There is no killing and not killing. For the truly perfect Buddha, There is no accomplishment and non-accomplishment. For the great suffering of samsara, There is no abandoning and not abandoning. For the truly perfect king of awareness, There is no meditation and non-meditation. For the five paths of great bliss and clarity, There is no purification and non-purification. For the non-conceptual nature of reality, There is no practice and non-practice. This great view of non-duality, Like a great garuda soaring in the sky.

Like the sky. With the wisdom of perfect equality, cut through the waves. It is said to be the king of the unpolluted path. It is the true path of all Buddhas. It is the mandala of the three bardos. It is separate from both expression and non-expression. The appearance of awareness itself is, Beyond the extremes of permanence and annihilation. The utterly pure Dharma that cannot be expressed, Beyond the extremes of being and non-being. The conduct without affirmation or negation is, Beyond the extremes of grasping and attachment. The meditation that thinks of clarity is, Beyond the extremes of dullness and agitation. The view that is impartial and without bias is also, Beyond the extremes of good and bad. The great expanse of true nature is also, Beyond the extremes of appearance and non-appearance. The very purity of one's own primordial wisdom, Is liberated from the Dharma of straying and obscuration. On the essence of the Buddhas' intention, Beyond the extremes of meditation and non-meditation. On the grandfather of all Buddhas, Beyond the extremes of realization and non-realization. On the certainty of suchness, Where are clarity and dimness, grasping and conceptualization? On the immaculate pure Dharmakaya, Where is artificial thought? The appearance of Dharma and non-Dharma is also, Where is the desire for characteristics? On primordial wisdom that is separate from mind, Where are habitual tendencies and defilements? On awareness that is separate from companions, Where are ignorance and delusion? The grandfather of all Buddhas is, The Victorious One, the unchanging light. Whoever abides on the true ground, Obtains the prophecy of the Vajra King. The Buddha without a Buddha, To the Vajrasattva hero, After empowering and showing the mandala, To liberate the ignorance of all sentient beings, Spoke the great king of tantras. My miraculous powers are like that, Appearing unhindered in whatever place. The great path of all Buddhas' tantra, I have spoken, and I have revealed. The body of non-conceptual Vajra is also, Truly arises from one's own body. On the bodies of sentient beings, The tombs of the Buddhas are established. In the sky of pure consciousness, The yogi of the wisdom of thatness, Should familiarize himself with thatness and enjoy it. Whoever desires the fruit of secret mantra, Should also familiarize himself with thatness. The nature of Dharma is clear light, endowed with radiance, Obtain the praise of the Buddhas. My awareness is on the nature of Dharma, Separate from mind and the Dharma of defilements. The subtle and coarse defilements, All obscure the essence. Thus, from the Great Tantra of the Self-Arising Awareness, the mantra of
