The time will come when the teacher who teaches secret mantras is not respected, but rather the faces of relatives and close friends are looked upon. The time will come when yogis cannot keep secrets. The time will come when men cannot practice the Dharma. The time will come when people will wear black clothes. The time will come when practitioners will descend into villages. The time will come when the profound Dharma of secret mantras is not practiced, but rather heretical Dharma is practiced. The time will come when the Buddha's intention is not put into practice, but rather people will enjoy singing, dancing, playing music, and playing games. Such unpleasant and inauspicious signs will appear, and that time will be a sign of the decline of the teachings. This secret mantra, practiced by a bodhisattva abiding on the earth, will flourish and become widespread. After that, for five hundred years, there will be a dark age of sixty years. After that, a Buddha named "Tathagata Various Adornments of Jewels" will appear in the world. He will cause the Dharma with characteristics to remain for a full hundred years. After that, there will again be a dark age of sixty years. After that, another Tathagata named "Tathagata Great Protector of Light" will appear in the world. People and retinues will also come with a fathom of light each. The Great Perfection will remain for sixty years. In that realm, thirty individuals who have attained the fruit of Buddhahood will appear. After that, there will be a dark age of fifty years. After that, another Tathagata named "Tathagata Crown Jewel" will appear in the world. After that, the holy Dharma Vinaya will remain for a full ten years. After that, fifty Pratyekabuddhas will also appear. After that, four great kalpas will occur. That is, first, there will be a famine kalpa. After that, there will be a weapon kalpa. After that, there will be a disease kalpa. After that, there will be a seven-fire kalpa. After that, there will be a water disaster kalpa. Finally, it will be destroyed by wind. After that, it will remain empty for five hundred years. After that, emptiness, formation, and destruction will occur simultaneously, and a tree called "Great Wish-Fulfilling Tree" will be formed again.
