Thus. The chapter of introduction and discussion is the first. Then, the mind of enlightenment, Samantabhadra, spoke this intention of agitating the root tantra. O great Vajra hero, listen carefully! The intention of agitating the tantra is as follows: To a person with prejudice and jealousy, the ten instructions of agitating the tantra are taught secretly. To the fortunate one of Dzogchen, the spontaneously accomplished nature, the key points of meaning are taught in the form of interlacing and gathering. First, in order to see the nature of reality, the ten sutras and instructions that are extracted first are taught. First, in order to explain the cause of the origin of this tantra, the introduction is taught first. In order to clarify and expand that, the tenth, which is perfectly complete, is taught. In order to bring forth the nature of reality from that, the second, which brings forth the nature of reality, is taught. The root of the nature of reality is the all-creating mind, the gathering of the mind itself, the eleventh. That is not the basis of all dharmas, so it is taught in the third, the source of all things. Since all of that arises from the all-creating itself, it is taught by the twentieth, which arises from the all-creating. Those two are perfectly complete with three, so the fifteenth, which is the perfection of the three bodies, is taught. That itself is gathered to show the nature of mind, so the fifth, which shows one's own mind, is taught. In order to explain the non-duality of showing one's own mind, the twenty-first, which explains the reason, is taught. The root of that is knowing one as mind, so the sixth, which is the root, one as mind, is taught. The manifestation of the nature of reality, the appearance is liberated in its own place, the sixteenth shows the intention of manifestation. The ten sutras and instructions of certainty without error are taught. In order to ascertain the nature of reality, that itself is the all-creating, the fourth teaches the ascertainment of the explanation of names. That itself is the means of realizing the tantra and the direct perception, so the thirty-third teaches the certainty of the two instructions. In order to realize that instruction with certainty, the thirteenth explains the certainty of the nature of mind. In order to have faith in that which is explained, the twelfth teaches the certainty of the source of the instructions. To definitively establish the meaning of that, the fifth teaches the certainty of the explanation of the meaning. The explanation of the meaning is definitively established, gaining confidence in certainty, so the thirty-second teaches the certainty of the basis of words. In order to ascertain the realization that is gathered into body, speech, and mind, body, speech, and mind
