The way things abide in their nature, Though beyond expression by words, The lamp of the glorious song Clearly explains to all the retinue. The way things abide in their nature Is beyond expression by words: Existing, not existing, empty, not empty. No birth, no cessation, freed from terms. No buddha, no buddhahood, no real body. No bodhicitta, no five families. No happiness, no suffering, no samsara, no nirvana. No awareness, no mind, no thoughts, no concepts. No I, no other, no sides, no enemy, no friend. No objects, no mind, no good, no bad, no acceptance, no rejection. No right, no wrong, no distinctions, no directions, no boundaries. The two doors of knowing and confusion have no nature. The nature of the ground is equal in existence and non-existence. Since the eight consciousnesses have not become objects, It is freed from all limitations and partiality. Duality, samsara, and nirvana are empty from the beginning. Samsara and nirvana are without bias, spontaneously accomplished. Nothing is obstructed, and there is no "this is it." Since it was not created by a cause in the beginning, It is boundless, like the sky of space. In the middle, there is no substance, not compounded, Like the rays of light radiating from the sun. In the end, there is no destruction by conditions, Non-dual, abiding in equality like space. Essence is emptiness, devoid of elaboration. It cannot be pointed out as "this." Unobscured, inexpressible, in a clear and pure state, Without concepts, the source of all things is inexhaustible. Without any bias, freed from the four extremes. The pure appearance of objects is itself buddhahood. Unwavering, directly and constantly liberated. Uncontrived, the very nature beyond mind. Unstained by delusion, in a true and correct state. The basis of all is bodhicitta. Not to be sought from elsewhere, it is perfect from the beginning. Nothing to be accomplished, without partiality. No acceptance, no rejection, no clinging to one, no limitations. No duality of samsara and nirvana. Free from the artifice of effort and practice. The name of the seer and the self-buddha, The philosophical tenets fabricated by dualistic minds are empty. Since the effort of meditation is primordially liberated, The arising and dissolving, letting go and abiding, are clear in the expanse. Since there is no name for judging faults and virtues, The actions of dualistic acceptance and rejection are ceased. Since it transcends the phenomena of good and evil signs, The acceptance and rejection of vows and precepts are pacified. Since the primordially pure wisdom has no appearance, The obscuration of unreal objects is pacified. Since the nature of phenomena has no object, The state of abiding in emptiness is empty. Since the dualistic signs are truly pure, The distinction between grasper and grasped transcends phenomena. The genuine unknowing is vast and deep, Essence

All the tantric teachings are purified in the expanse. In short, all dualistic dharmas, whether they fall to one side or not, are completely liberated from the multitude of such extremes of duality and non-duality. From the transcendence of the primordially liberated dharma, one abides in the nature of unlimitedness. Like the earth, a treasury of gold, like the ocean, it is an analogy for the nature of things. Thus it is said. From the Tantra of the Stacked Lamps, the third chapter, which shows the way of abiding of the nature of things, is complete. Then, a young boy with a clear mind asked, "How does one become confused without realizing the abiding nature of the primordially pure Samantabhadra?" The Teacher addressed the assembly, "I will explain samsara without realizing the abiding nature. All of you, the assembly, listen respectfully without distraction. In the palace of the pure expanse of space, in the state of equality of the ground's nature, then, the great treasury of all arising, the gate of the initial arising of wisdom, is like the magical display arising from space. From the dharmadhatu, it is self-arisen and abides in the dharmadhatu. From the state of the sky, the sound of emptiness proclaims the incomparable, vast, and profound meaning. All the words spoken, such as the eighty-four thousand, arise from the dharmadhatu, sound, and are purified into the dharmadhatu, transcending the limits of speech. Both speaking and not speaking, there is no limit to grasping at duality. Because of liberation from the realm of characteristics of all the three realms and so on, there is no limit to the appearance of emptiness, the grasped and the grasper. Outwardly liberated, inwardly pure, destroying grasping. The limits of body and form are purified. Both appearance and emptiness are purified. There is no limit to grasping at non-duality. All dualistic thoughts, such as samsara and nirvana, self and other, are the inseparable wisdom fire of primordial awareness. Because it blazes on its own without cause or condition, it transcends all abandonment, attainment, negation, and affirmation. Both conceptual thought and dharmata are purified. There is no limit to grasping at non-duality. Thus, because one liberates the other, all extremes are liberated in their own place. Transcending both liberation and non-liberation, the first noble one is the primordial Buddha. From the essence, nature, and compassion, the three of primordial purity, spontaneous accomplishment, and all-pervasiveness are the supreme ground of the first three kayas. It is the gate of the arising of clear and pure wisdom. Confusion, not realizing the way of abiding, also arises from the movement of the rays of the ground's power. Like a rainbow in the sky, it is cut off in the object. Because the nature is not absorbed into its own face, know that the rays shine from the light. Not understanding the primordial meaning, one enters into dualistic grasping. The abiding nature does not
