There is no obscuration and no characteristics. In the flowing bindu, the seeds of the five poisons of afflictions cannot be found. Therefore, in the bindu of the five elements of the world, the seeds of the five poisons of afflictions cannot be found. Therefore, in the bindu of the five elements of the world, the place where the five poisons of afflictions enter cannot be found. With the bindu of the mind, the afflicted ones cannot find a place to enjoy the five poisons of afflictions. In the bindu where various realms enter, the place where the images of the five poisons of afflictions are completed cannot be found. Therefore, in the final blazing iron bindu, the place where the fruits of the five poisons of afflictions ripen cannot be found. With the three concepts of grasping, the meaning of the bindu cannot be understood. With the three aspects of unmistaken emptiness and cessation, the meaning of the bindu cannot be found. With the three appearances of coarse, fierce, and impetuous, the meaning of the bindu cannot be understood. Sinking, drowsiness, and darkness are unique entrances. If there were no initial ignorance, sentient beings would also be liberated. If there were no initial purity, effort would be fruitless. It is considered to be neither permissible nor impermissible, but rather a sudden occurrence that appears. The confidence of entering practice after realization. The confidence of the fruit that manifests. The initial entry is the confidence of the path. The intermediate conduct is the confidence of companionship. The final is the confidence of the ultimate fruit. Self-nature purity is the Dharmakaya. The supreme illusion, wisdom, is like space and a rainbow. Initially, not knowing, mistaking it for one's own continuum, is like being bound by oneself in samsara. Finally, recognizing, believing, abiding in the lineage and being inseparable, is like samsara and nirvana being mixed together. Thus it was said. From the Tantra of the Burning Jewel Lamp, the twenty-third chapter, which explains how to reverse delusion by condensing it into instructions using the oral instructions of the nine-fold bindu. Then, the great Bodhisattva, the chief of the lineage, emanated joyful radiance, with respectful mind and devoted body, prostrated and asked: "O Holy One, the first Buddha, the original teacher, the unchanging light, the spontaneously accomplished one who abides. Holy One, on the nature of the ground, are there wrong views and characteristics? How to refute the other tenets of the common vehicle? How to uphold the self-tenets of the uncommon vehicle? With what shall I make the hope of longing? Holy One, the first Buddha! I beseech you to teach us." The first Holy Buddha spoke:

Listen, great being, chief of the lineage! That reality of the ground, If it inherently exists, two faults arise. If it inherently does not exist, two faults arise. On that very nature of the ground, If there could be mistaken conceptions and signs, Then four kinds of measure of faults arise. On that very nature of the ground, If there are no mistaken conceptions and signs, Then two kinds of measure of faults arise. On that very nature of the ground, If it is not mistaken conceptions and signs, Then one fault, one kind of measure. From that very nature of the ground, It is impossible for mistaken conceptions and signs to arise, Then four kinds of measure of faults, examples, and meanings arise. By that very nature of the ground, If mistaken conceptions and signs could be made, Then two kinds of measure of faults arise. That very nature of the ground, If it could become mistaken conceptions and signs, Then four kinds of measure of faults arise. That very nature of the ground, If from one existing thing it could become mistaken conceptions and signs, Then one kind of measure of faults. If from one non-existent thing, that very nature of the ground, mistaken conceptions and signs arise, then the six classes of beings will be confused, or the Sugata-essence pervading all will decline. If from both existing and non-existing things, that very nature of the ground, mistaken conceptions and signs arise, then both Buddhas and beings will be confused. If from one that is neither existing nor non-existing, that very nature of the ground, mistaken conceptions and signs could arise, then the third skandha will have no cause to be confused, but even if it is confused, it is meaningless. If from one that is substantially established, that very nature of the ground, mistaken conceptions and signs arise, then the nature of the ground will become conditioned. If from one that is not substantially established, that very nature of the ground, mistaken conceptions and signs arise, then it is impossible for it to arise from what is substantially established. If it arises by making it an object, then it is actual confusion. It is impossible for it to arise without making it an object. Is there confusion or no confusion in the reality of the ground? Thus it was said. From the Tantra of the Blazing Jewel Lamp, the twenty-fourth chapter, which teaches the sixteen instructions for definitive understanding, is complete. Then the great being, chief of the lineage, brought forth the radiance of joy, with faith and reverence in his mind, bowing his body in devotion, and asked: "O venerable primordial Buddha, first teacher, unchanging light, spontaneously accomplished one, who abides, Is this definitive meaning Samantabhadra the true Buddha? How is the manner of becoming a Buddha?"
