Self-pacified without examination, The consciousness of thought does not abide, The mind that is clear in the nature of thought, Uses itself and thinks of itself, Meaning one. By realizing one, all is realized, Seeing one, all is seen, everything is clear. Having recognized self-arisen perfection, No other dualistic dharma abides. All the common vehicles without exception, Are like stars in thought and practice. Although non-existent, by the power of wrong knowledge, One falls into the realm of dark abysses. In the very nature of mind that cannot be meditated upon, How can it be attained by meditation? The mind of awareness, unmoving and self-abiding, Is clear by itself without searching. The self-perfected nature of mind, without appearance, Arises spontaneously by being placed in clarity. Not grasped by conceptual thought, Cutting off experiences, following after, and discursive thoughts. Without thought and without non-thought, In the great bindu without elaboration, By habituating, distraction is completely cut off. In the dharmadhatu that cannot be meditated upon, Even if meditated upon, there is no fault, like the sky. The stainless, self-arisen contemplation, Is accomplished by placing it as desired. In the meditation of self-arisen perfection, If various conceptual thoughts arise, Then view perfection as the essence of mind. Do not think of arising and entering awareness, That is said to be meditation itself. From the great continuum of the mind of enlightenment, equal to space, The twenty-fourth chapter, which cannot be purified by wisdom, is complete. 12. Then, furthermore, there is something to be said, The ultimate secret instruction, Because the cause is ultimate, there is nothing to accomplish. The ultimate instruction is not to be sought. Because the result is ultimate, it is perfect from the beginning. The perfectly complete secret tantra itself, Is ultimate from the beginning and not to be sought. Because cause and effect are spontaneously perfect from the beginning, The cause of perfect completion is spontaneous accomplishment itself. In that which is unmade and perfectly complete, After combining with the cause of manifestation, Like a treasure house manifesting a heap, Like the qualities of spontaneous accomplishment. In samsara, unmade and spontaneously accomplished, The suddenly arising habitual tendencies of discrimination, Mistakenly clinging to suffering as happiness, Like seeing a conch shell as yellow. In this, there is no arising, ceasing, or abiding, Because of the distinction of self-arisen mind, There is no hope for all desired meanings. Without searching, one manifestly awakens from darkness, It is none other than self-awareness. By the cause and effect of arising other-thoughts, In that which is without extremes, like the sky, By the consciousness of effort, attachment, and clinging.
