The earth, all sentient beings, accomplish through effortless, spontaneous achievement. That which is effortlessly, spontaneously achieved is not achieved through action, but is effortlessly, spontaneously achieved from the beginning. Abandoning all desires is a great obstacle to achievement. The habitual tendencies of desire's samadhi, those habitual tendencies are the mind's clinging. Clinging abandons bliss, not clinging takes all bliss. Such is the nature of reality. In non-abiding, there is no object of focus. In non-thought, there is no samadhi. That essence of emptiness is attained without desire. As it is, without fabrication, is the single intention of all Buddhas. Apart from great bliss, where are desire and clinging? Whoever is without clinging and attachment, their samadhi is the best of clinging. Since all clinging is primordially accomplished, non-thinking of acceptance and rejection is the king of accomplishment. Thus it is said. The twelfth chapter, the chapter on effortless, spontaneous perfection, from the Vajrasattva, Great Sky Brahmin Expansive Tantra. Vajrasattva again asked: Blessed One, Great Bliss, Samantabhadra, what is desirelessness, immovability, effortlessness? Samantabhadra replied: Listen, assembly gathered around me, the nature of reality is without change from the beginning. There is not even a mote of dust moved by transformation. Bliss and suffering, enlightenment are one taste. Buddhas and sentient beings are one in mind. Appearance and existence, container and contents, the nature of reality is one taste. Truth and falsehood are equal in the nature of reality. If you cling to bliss, it is suffering. By abiding in self-nature, all is accomplished. Because there is no thought in all clarity, that is self-born wisdom. Because wisdom does not accumulate habitual tendencies, how could it be stained by karma? By meditating on various things, one does not become clear. Whoever makes a clear samadhi, there is no samadhi in that. In suchness, in oneness, Buddhas and sentient beings are divided into two. After dividing bliss and suffering into two, it is shown that one should take up virtue, it is shown that one should cast sin behind. That is contrary to the definitive meaning. The nature of reality is without movement. The Buddha's nature is without movement, it is the nature of reality of the victorious ones of the three times. There is no other Buddha in that. Apart from the mind of enlightenment, there are no two, Buddha and sentient being. Mind itself, without thought, is Buddha. All Buddhas praise mind itself. Mind itself is unmoving, free from effort.

It cannot be rectified if it is free from effort. Thus it was said. Vajrasattva, the thirteenth chapter, the chapter on non-action without change, from the Great Sky Brahmin Expanding Tantra. Vajrasattva again asked: Bhagavan Great Bliss Samantabhadra, How is your awareness clear? Samantabhadra said: Listen, assembly gathered around me. Awareness is clear without thought or expression. It is clear in a state of non-thought and non-concept. Awareness is clear without grasping or conceptualization. Thoughts are clear, unentered, and direct. Awareness is clear without any object of focus. It is clear in a state of non-thought and equanimity. Awareness is clear without any seeking or searching. It is clear in the expanse of the great bliss of space. Awareness is clear without memory or habit. Knowledge and awareness are clear without thought or expression. Awareness is clear without grasping or conceptualization. It is clear in a state of immovability and equanimity. Awareness is clear without being placed anywhere. It is clear, separate from the extremes of action. Awareness is clear as the great self-nature. It is clear, transcending action itself. Awareness is clear, unblocked and direct. It is clear in a state of non-thought and equanimity. Awareness is clear without grasping or habit. It is clear, free from non-thought and elaboration. Awareness is clear without thought or analysis. Knowledge is clear, unwavering in any way. Awareness is clear without reliance. Thoughts do not enter anywhere. Awareness is clear without identification. Awareness is clear without interruption. Awareness is clear without falling into any extreme. Awareness is clear, connected to everything. It is clear as the basis of all things. Thus it was said. Vajrasattva, the fourteenth chapter, the chapter on the self-clarity of awareness, from the Great Sky Brahmin Expanding Tantra. Vajrasattva again asked: Bhagavan Great Bliss Samantabhadra, If one abides in equanimity, how does one abide? Samantabhadra said: Listen, assembly gathered around me. Samantabhadra is indefinite, like the sky. Abide in the state of impermanent clarity. Do not block the five senses, abide in their own place. Do not seek, abide in the great self-nature. Abide unmoving in the state of equanimity. Abide without thought, free from elaboration. Do not identify anywhere, abide. Do not reject appearances, abide as you please. Abide in the state of clarity without thought. Abide in the state of non-duality and equanimity. Loosen the three doors of body, speech, and mind, and abide. Likewise, abide naturally, without fabrication. Abide without attachment, free from clinging. Do not let thoughts enter anywhere, abide. Abide with knowledge free from thought and analysis. Thus it was said. Vajrasattva, from the Great Sky Brahmin Expanding Tantra.
