It is symbolized by the example of space. For the nature of dharma that is without object, it is shown by symbolizing it without object. For that which cannot be expressed in words, words that cannot be expressed are spoken. The essence of the meaning of non-object is revealed. Through this great meaning, one is able to realize. If one does not realize the great meaning through this, no matter what words of meaning are shown, one will not encounter the essential meaning. Thus it was said. From the Tantra of Vajrasattva, the Great Brahmin of Space, the second chapter, which reveals the essence of the root. Then again, Vajrasattva asked: Blessed One, Great Bliss, Samantabhadra, please explain the teacher, the teaching, and the retinue as well. Having asked this, Samantabhadra replied: Listen, my assembled retinue. The teacher is also threefold, the teaching is also threefold, and the retinue that holds it is also shown as three. The three teachers are as follows: the one who shows the nature of dharma, the one who shows the essence of dharma, and the one who shows the words of meaning. The teacher who shows the nature, from the blessing of no birth, all the dharmas that appear, shows them as suchness. The teacher who shows the essence, all the dharmas that appear, arise as the body of emptiness, and shows that there is no other than that essence. The teacher who shows the words, gathers all the dharmas into the words of meaning, and for sentient beings who are ignorant and do not know, he shows that meaning combined with the words. The three teachings are as follows: the teaching of the Dharmakaya is shown as suchness, and there is no distinction in suchness. All the dharmas that appear are the essence of mind, therefore it is suchness. In that, whoever fabricates and meditates, does not understand the teaching of the Dharmakaya. The nature of dharma, the Bodhicitta, which is without appearance, is not realized as suchness without error, and in that, whoever fabricates and meditates, does not recognize the un fabricated self-mind. The dharmas of appearance and existence and the Bodhicitta of appearance and existence, extracting suchness with the mind, is suchness. Not realizing it in suchness, they see it separately. Those who seek suchness from the realm, even if the Buddhas of the three times seek it, they will not find it. The teaching of perfect enjoyment in enjoyment, the five enjoyments are the nature of dharma.
