The path of all is the nature of reality. The nature of reality is like the moon in the sky, like pointing with a finger along with words. The equality of all Buddhas and sentient beings is the great bliss of the nature of reality. For the nature of reality that has no appearance, looking with the senses does not accomplish the nature of reality. Thus it is taught. Teaching the great assembly of mind is that phenomenal existence is dedicated by the mind as offerings to the patrons, and by looking with the senses, desirable qualities are distributed. Seeing in the assembly with the eyes of the senses is that the five desirable qualities are clear, thus accomplishing the goal. To that, placing the samadhi equally is the completion of the two accumulations of cause and wisdom. Thus it is taught. Teaching the body and wisdom is that the bodhicitta does not waver in any way. Not having grasping and being grasped is the dharmakaya mudra. Immovable samadhi is self-arisen wisdom. The nature of reality does not take on characteristics, it is selflessness, and the mind does not abandon anything. Not moving, not wavering, not taking, not abandoning, therefore, this is inexpressible, beyond words, equality. Thus it is taught. Teaching that there is nothing to meditate on is that the phenomena of existence, arising, and appearance, the nature of reality, bodhicitta has no appearance. Not seeking, abiding in one's own nature is the best of meditation. If one seeks for existence in the unseekable dharma, it is like building a house in the sky. Without non-existence, the result of all existence will not arise. Thus it is taught. Teaching that play arises from itself is that the causeless, self-arisen mind is very wonderful. From that, this causeless wisdom is marvelous. This play is practiced without obstruction. There is no action, no effort, nothing to accomplish, like the sky. Not focusing on anything, from ignorance, immediately that which is unobstructed and wonderful, the play of causeless, self-arisen wisdom arises. Thus, in the commentary on the Sutra of Bodhicitta, the tenth commentary on the meaning of complete perfection is finished. Then, that great Bodhisattva, to the assembled gathering, all dharmas cannot be determined by words and letters, in order to be understood by the intelligence of individuals through the connection of words and letters, spoke these five commentaries on the meaning. O great assembled gathering, listen now! The Buddhas of the past, also, having realized these five commentaries on the meaning, went to the ground of no birth. The yogis who are dwelling now, also, having realized these five commentaries on the meaning, went to the ground of no birth. The beings who will appear in the future, also, having realized these five commentaries on the meaning, will go to the ground of no birth. Therefore, for this commentary on the meaning, hold it in your mind and recite it. Thus it was said. The Sutra of Bodhicitta is complete.

These five commentaries, after I have understood the meaning of my great teachings, I will abide in this view. Afterwards, the lineage successors who come, these five commentaries on meaning, will be able to understand through certainty. What are the five commentaries? Namely, the commentary on syllable intervals and letters, the commentary on metaphor, meaning, cause and effect, the commentary on the meaning of reason, the commentary on separation, and the commentary on collection. The commentary on syllables and letters is: the meaning and nature of letters, syllables and letter strength, and examination of limbs. How is that? A single letter has seven complete limbs that are needed: head and limbs, syllables and lines, seven in all. The head is the unerring guide, the syllable is like an eye looking, the line is like riding a horse. The limbs move with strength. The limbs initiate movement with strength, and the head enters the path of meaning. The syllable speaks of all things by name. The line cuts off sections and chapters. The letter shows meaning and nature. The meaning of the words between syllables and letters is: the connection between skillful means and wisdom, having all actions and no action, great emptiness with all aspects, words with no object and with body. The division of words by sections is: It is certain that the Buddha Shakyamuni speaks my words. The meaning of the words is reversed and confused, and the scattered statements are scattered. It is not related to the meaning of the occasion. It is mixed with the words of ordinary people. I speak of the meaning of what I said. It is the meaning of the words between syllables and letters. The letter strength of the syllable interval is: the strength of the upper and the strength of the lower, the middle connection is the strength of oneself, and what it is must be examined. The limbs of the syllable interval are: one letter has seven limbs, and the sound refers to five, two, and one. The letter of limb strength, where the letter goes, the limb controls, and the limb movement must be examined. This is the commentary on syllable intervals and letters. The commentary on metaphor, meaning, cause and effect is: the word of meaning and the word of letter, the word of cause and the word of metaphor, the word of cause and the word of effect, what is it to examine the letter, and the limb shows with the letter. Like this, like that, like this, the three are the commentary shown in metaphor. Therefore, because of this, therefore, the three, what meaning is it if you see this, is the commentary shown by reason. From then on, again, from that, the three, the cause
