Who is it that doubts? Search for me, look at me. Even if you find it, if it's still there, then keep searching. Search for the searcher, but there is no searcher. Even if you look, you don't see, look at the looker. Look at the looker, but there is no looker. For example, the Dharmic object, the Vajra, What constitutes the substance of the Vajra? Is it made of a vase or a lotus? Is it made of the upper horn or the lower horn? Is it made of an aggregate, or what is the Vajra? Likewise, my own substance, Is it made of the body or the mind? If it is made of the body, what is the body? The head and limbs, senses, And the heart, internal organs, flesh, skin, bones, Veins, body hair, head hair, nails, what are they? Therefore, there is no substance of the body. If it is made of the mind, is it made of clarity and emptiness, And wavering, memory, grasping, attachment, purity? The so-called substance of body and mind, I have not found the Vajrasattva. It is merely symbolically called "I." Merely pointing out this name, Samantabhadra has not indicated it, Vajrasattva has not symbolized it. There is no appearance, what is appearance? Appearance as a single object, to whom is it true? Regarding the truth or falsehood of the object, see to whom it applies. For example, regarding the elements of earth, water, fire, and air, The six realms of beings, non-Buddhists, eternalists and nihilists, And the different appearances of the nine progressive absorptions, In conventional truth, none of them are real. For example, like China, Tibet, and Zhangzhung. In conventional truth, none of them are real. Merely pointing out this name, Vajrasattva has not symbolized it. Is appearance existent or nonexistent, deluded or undeluded? If it is deluded, is the delusion true or false? If it is true, to whom is the delusion true? If the delusion is false, then it is nothing. To the undeluded, who says there is appearance? If they say so, the one who says it is deluded. Therefore, the Dharmic object has no substance. If it exists, then determine the ultimate nature of the substance. Having determined the ultimate nature, what is the substance? Those who believe in substance are those with conceptual minds. However the conceptual mind operates, it is mistaken. Subdue the conceptual mind, fortunate child. Virtue and vice are originally equal. Why? In order to liberate the conceptual mind. Goodness cannot be abandoned by goodness, Evil cannot bring harm. If there is no aspiration because there are no signs, In emptiness, there is no benefit or harm. Habitual tendencies are good thoughts and bad thoughts. Thoughts also bind one to samsara. Within samsara, there is great difference. Practice virtue, son of noble family. Separate habitual tendencies from their flavor. If habitual tendencies are not separated from their flavor, The lifeline of samsara will not be cut. The basis for rebirth

Ung re kana. Thus it was said. From the Tantra of the Great Monarch, the seventeenth chapter, which is the chapter of seeing the face of the Dharmakaya by dispelling the obstacles of conceptualization and doubt. Then again, he said: Listen, assembly of Vajradhara! For example, various appearances are like the magic of illusion. By what is the substance of illusion made? Illusion is dependent arising, there is no birth. For example, when a person falls asleep, the miracles of good and evil in dreams are dreamed as if they were real. The imprints of the day appear at night. Is there substance or not? For example, in the previous dream, a person is chased by many weapon-wielding people, fighting and contending on a mountain. Frightened, exhausted, and near death, he flees. When awakened, what does it appear as? Therefore, these appearing objects, Mount Meru, the four continents, all the elements, enemies, friends, attachment, hatred, and all sufferings, are like illusions or dreams. From being Not appearing, from not being, appearing. All the dharmas that are seen are not existent. Grasping existence from non-existence is delusion. In the time of delusion, there is no existence. If you say it is only conventional truth, then for whom is it true in conventional truth? If it is true, then all beings should perceive the same appearances. Therefore, there is not even a slight similarity. For example, in objects like water, the six realms, permanence, annihilation, and all vehicles, there is not even a slight similarity. Therefore, non-existence is appearance. Thus it was said. From the Tantra of the Great Monarch, the eighteenth chapter, which is the chapter of dispelling the key of appearance. Then Vajrapani said to the Teacher: Kye kye, Teacher Vajradhara! You have explained the example and meaning of appearing from non-existence. The assembly is frightened by these great words, and wrong views arise about the true state. Having said this, the Teacher, the Vajra Dharmakaya, said to Vajradhara: Listen, assembly of gathered ones! These various deluded appearances, from being, do not appear, and from not being, they appear. For example, like the eight examples of illusion. When a person falls asleep, in a dream, children, wives, wealth, livestock, all enjoy great happiness, but they dream of being killed by many weapon-wielding enemies, children killed, wealth plundered, and suffering. That person's dream, does it appear from being, or does it appear from not being? What do you think when you wake up? Is that deluded dharma true or false?
