One or not one? Is not one unrelated? Where is the dividing point between samsara and nirvana? Do fabricated dharmas exist or not? What does it mean to be without action and beyond consciousness? Is the term 'beyond consciousness' described by language or not? If described, what is the difference between it and fabricated dharmas? If not described, where does fabrication come from? Where are the appearing dharmas gathered? Where does the exhaustion of dharma and consciousness ultimately lead? How should one repeat questions about real dharmas? Please speak very profoundly to us, the assembled retinue, about these forty-two questions. Thus, it was requested. From the Tantra of the Blazing Sky. The chapter on the perfect beginning and the retinue's questioning, the first chapter ends. Then, Self-Arisen Natural Purity asked the King of Teachers, Nameless Liberator of All: How does the nature of mind abide? The Teacher addressed the retinue: The nature of mind cannot be pointed out, but to dispel the retinue's conceptualizations, it is described as being like a golden casket in the dark. Retinue, do not be distracted, listen with reverence. The way the nature of mind abides is: Its nature is emptiness, spontaneously accomplished. Its nature is without cause or condition. Its nature is without change. Its nature is without anything. Its nature is without substance. Mind has no example, no equal, and no face. The way the nature of mind abides is: Empty and clear, without substance, free from color and shape. Unborn, primordially pure, without direction, boundless. Without substance, empty, without support, unfathomable. The great bindu, nameless, beyond consciousness, nameless, the end of all, the basis of all varieties. Possessing all aspects, yet not established anywhere. Therefore, transcending all, free from the realm of consciousness. Thus, it was said. From the Tantra of the Blazing Sky. The chapter on explaining the nature of mind, the second chapter ends. Then, Self-Arisen Self-Liberation asked the Nameless Teacher, Liberator of All: How does the essence of mind manifest? The Teacher addressed the retinue: The way the essence of mind manifests is: The essence of mind is primordially pure, clear light. The essence of mind is clear and pure. The essence of mind is deeply clear. The essence of mind is clear from within. The essence of mind is clear like space. The essence of mind is clear as light. The essence of mind is

Clearly manifest. The nature of mind is clear as rays. The nature of mind is clear as play. The nature of mind is clear as appearance. The nature of mind is clear as the five senses. The nature of mind is clear as the five essences. The nature of mind is clear as the five limbs. The nature of mind is clear as the five forms and five objects. The nature of mind is clear as the eight aggregates of consciousness. The nature of mind is clear as the five senses and five minds. The nature of mind is awareness that is free from objects. That mind is pure and clear in the expanse. Thus it is said. From the *Burning Sky Tantra*, the chapter on the clarity of the nature of mind, the third chapter. Then, Self-Arisen Natural Purity asked the teacher, the All-Liberating Nameless One: How does the mind possess qualities? The teacher spoke to the assembly: The teaching of the qualities of the mind is: Just as a wish-fulfilling jewel fulfills all desires, the way qualities arise in the mind is inconceivable. The types of qualities cannot be exhausted by explanation, but for now, summarized, these qualities are explained: It possesses the quality of clarifying ignorance into wisdom. It possesses the quality of transforming the three poisons into the three bodies. It has the quality of transforming the five poisons into the five wisdoms. It possesses the quality of transforming sentient beings into Buddhas. It possesses the quality of transforming samsara and nirvana. It possesses the quality of cutting off the dangerous places of the six realms. It possesses the quality of transforming the three realms and fields. It possesses the quality of sweeping away afflictions with a broom. It possesses the quality of transforming conceptual thoughts into the Dharmakaya. It possesses the quality of self-liberation of appearances. It possesses the quality of self-destruction of awareness. It possesses the quality of realizing the namelessness of mind itself. It possesses the quality of knowing all that exists. It possesses the quality of knowing as it is. It possesses the quality of knowing all aspects. It possesses the quality of supreme knowledge. It possesses the quality of purifying in its own place without abandoning it. It possesses the quality of being completely accomplished without cultivation. It possesses the quality of rescuing from the swamp of samsara. It possesses the quality of being equal to all like a child. It possesses the quality of compassionately benefiting all. It possesses the quality of knowing suffering as happiness. It possesses the quality of pervading all like the sky. Knowing that all beings without exception will become Buddhas, this is the quality of mind. Thus it is said. From the *Burning Sky Tantra*, the chapter on the teaching of the qualities of mind, the fourth chapter. Then
