Although various appearances arise during meditation, it is still necessary to distinguish whether or not it is necessary to rely on the recollection of emptiness. If this fresh appearance and awareness can achieve self-awareness and self-illumination, free from effort and cessation, then when appearances arise in meditation, they will no longer completely depend on recollection. Even with effort, as long as it does not involve clinging, any appearance can naturally liberate itself and unfold expansively, which is the key. In short, one should maintain one's virtuous practice through the three activities of walking, staying, sitting, and lying down, and look at the essence of that realization with naked awareness. When looking at external phenomena, one should realize that illusory appearances are unreal, like illusions, and practice in a state of non-attachment. When looking at the inner nature of phenomena, one should realize it as empty space without objects, and practice in a state of non-attachment. When secretly looking at the essence of awareness, one should realize it as empty-clear and unobstructed, and practice in that state without effort. By abiding in this way, one can temporarily freely control countless qualities such as clairvoyance and direct perception, and effortlessly liberate afflictions in their own nature. This is also the initial practice and the complete practice, and the qualities of becoming accustomed to it will gradually increase, becoming a profound method for achieving the wisdom of the Buddha. I have heard this many times from the mouth of the supreme master, and with firm faith, I regard his words as the standard, and I also teach others in this way, please keep it in mind. The essence of view is to not individually fixate on all appearances as dualistic phenomena, but to realize self-illuminating primordial awareness, self-liberation, spontaneous accomplishment, empty-clear non-duality, freedom from elaboration, boundlessness, and impartiality as one taste and one entity, so that one can appear without fear. However, when emotions such as attachment and aversion arise depending on external objects, before the ego-grasping mind is eliminated, even if the understanding of the view is good, it may seem to contradict it in experience, which is also the nature of phenomena. At this time, one should bring any arising thoughts nakedly and naturally liberated into the path, which is the key. Therefore, one should abide in the great liberation, vast and boundless nature that transcends sectarian speculation, the object of attachment, and the scope of mental activity, which is the key. In any case, just as various seedlings grow on the land in summer, in the experience of a yogi, whether good or bad, high or low, cannot be determined, let alone the picture of thoughts composed of good and bad thoughts, even the display of the self-radiance of non-thought is limitless.

The view of , meditation unbound by antidotes, conduct that lets whatever arises dissolve on its own, and the appearance of the result free from the duality of hope and fear, whatever appears. Furthermore, if the thought of wanting to experience arises, it is like medicine that has not been digested turning into poison. At that time, without binding the decided meaning with clinging, without distraction, constantly living in the natural flow of non-meditation will be fulfilling. It is not enough to merely grasp the gross dreams that seem to be always grasped. Furthermore, without clinging to the appearances of the six consciousnesses during the day, strive to restrain them, and when falling asleep, falling asleep having lost the memory of the day, the experiences and realizations of clear light will appear in sequence. Whatever experience arises, do not defile it with the thoughts of negation and affirmation, acceptance and rejection, but maintain the self-nature of whatever arises, so that the aggregates of grasping and clinging are cleared away like clouds dissolving in the sky, and the seeds of samsara are exhausted. In the space of the naturally pure essence, the naturally pure awareness dissolves, and mother and child merge, and the non-dual wisdom of grasping and clinging abides in the unchanging essence. Just as waves dissolve into water, conceptual thoughts are purified in the essence, and the boundary between samsara and nirvana collapses. The five paths and ten bhumis are traversed gradually, or all at once, and liberation is attained. The supreme vehicle, Ati's instructions, a clear exposition of the nature of reality.
