Faith, etc. Similar companions. Cultivation is faith, joy, not forgetting the object, one-pointedness of mind, and proper attention. The result is the swift realization of the Four Noble Truths and the accomplishment of the four unions. Why are they called the five roots? Because they have power to generate pure liberation. Power is the same as the other roots. Why are they called the five powers? Because they are not taken away by opposing factors. The object of the limbs of enlightenment is the Four Noble Truths. The nature is mindfulness, etc. The essence is a limb, the place is a limb, the benefit is definitely a limb of renunciation, and the three limbs without affliction. Thus it is. Similar companions. Cultivation is dwelling in solitude, away from desire and dullness, cessation, and abandonment. The result is the abandonment of what is abandoned by seeing and what is abandoned by cultivation. Why is it said so? Because the path of seeing becomes a limb of enlightenment. The object of the eight limbs of the Noble Path is the Four Noble Truths. The nature is seeing, etc. Completely cutting off and understanding, and the three that cause others to have faith. The rest are limbs that are antidotal. Similar companions. Cultivation is the same as the limbs of enlightenment. The result is complete cutting off, etc. Why is it the Noble Path?

The difference in not being born is that one is not reborn. Classified as approaching form, approaching formlessness, cessation of what is seen, and four types of bodily manifestation. The difference in abandonment for an Arhat is that they have completely abandoned the meditative abandonments of the three realms, thus abandoning the five fetters that pertain to the higher realms. The difference in realization is that they have obtained the antidotes to these. Classified as liberation from the wisdom aspect and liberation from both aspects. Alternatively, desire for form, formlessness, arrogance, pride, ignorance. The two faculties, dull and sharp, the dull have the nature of decline, the nature of being killed, the nature of being protected, the nature of not moving from abiding, and the nature of becoming worthy of realization, these five. The sharp faculty is of an unwavering nature. Breaking Through (Trekchö) Those who break through (Trekchö): Before the path of seeing, having abandoned six or fewer of the meditative abandonments of the desire realm, upon obtaining the path of seeing, there is the once-returner, and having abandoned nine or more, there are no intermediate faults of the stream-enterer and Arhat. Born from lineage, having abandoned five or fewer of the meditative abandonments of the desire realm and the harmful mind of the desire realm. Subsequently, without abandoning the meditative abandonments, one takes seven births. The once-returner, having abandoned six or more and eight or fewer of the meditative abandonments. Subsequently, from the nine paths of the non-returner, one abandons the eighth meditative abandonment of the peak of existence and below. Upon abandoning the ninth, one is an Arhat. The difference between the meditative abandonments of the mundane and supramundane is the difference of whether or not they are grasped by wisdom. Samten Zung (Form of Concentration) Briefly explaining Samten Zung (Form of Concentration) there are eight. Equanimity is a branch of dhyana. The objects of the formless realms. Afflictions. Purification. The basis of the uncontaminated. The various names of quantity. First, equanimity is, seven types of attention, namely, Mtshan Nyid Rabtu Rigpa (Tibetan, Devanagari, Romanized Sanskrit, Chinese literal meaning: Fully Knowing the Characteristics), arising from aspiration, complete solitude, gathering joy, investigation, the edge of union, attending to the result of the edge of union. Second, the branches of dhyana. First, there are five: investigation, analysis, joy, bliss, and concentration. Second, there are four: excellence, joy, bliss, and concentration. Third, there are five: equanimity, bliss, mindfulness, wisdom, and concentration. Fourth, there are four: mindfulness, formation equanimity, feeling equanimity, and concentration. Third, the objects of the formless realms. First is touch.

Focus on the sky as if it were devoid of form. Second, after the perception of the sky has subsided, focus only on consciousness. Third, nothing whatsoever. Fourth, it is not that there is no coarse perception, nor is it that there is no subtle perception, therefore it is not non-perception. Fourth, the afflictions are desire, view, pride, and ignorance. Fifth, complete purification or purification has three aspects: deterioration, abiding, and distinction. The four factors conducive to definite emergence.
