Here, in explaining the Ornament of the Great Vehicle Sutras, there are two parts: the title and the actual treatise possessing the title. The first part has two divisions: the actual title and the incidental translation homage. The first is the Indian language, etc. The second is the Buddha, etc. In the second part, according to the commentary \"Intelligence\" by the teacher Vasubandhu: \"For those who wish to speak of the meaning of the sutras, a few key instructions will be given. It should be explained with the necessary summary of meaning, word meaning, connection, refutation, and response.\" As it is said, treatises should also be well explained through these five key instructions. Moreover, the meaning of connection and refutation are mostly clearly stated. Here, in the present context, there are three: the meaning of necessity, the meaning of summary, and the meaning of words. The first also has two parts: the general meaning and the meaning of the text. The first is the necessity of explaining the necessity, the nature of each, and the determination of number. The second is understanding the meaning, etc. The second, the summarized meaning, has three aspects: determining the object to be expressed by combining the meaning of the title, refuting disputes, and showing benefits. The first is gold, etc. This verse shows the five types of analogies based on the five aspects of meaning, which are to be proven, to be known in detail, to be thought about, to be inconceivable, and to be understood as fully accomplished. In this regard, the teacher Jñānaśrī said: \"The object to be studied, the method of how to study, and the result of studying in that way, these three.\" First, in relation to the object to be studied, confirming the scriptures of the Great Vehicle, confirming the object of generating the mind of enlightenment or the supreme refuge, and confirming the proximate cause, the lineage of the Great Vehicle, these three are to be proven. Generating the mind of enlightenment and accomplishing the perfect benefit of oneself and others, these two are to be known in detail. Profound suchness is to be thought about. Powers such as clairvoyance and joy" } ] ============================================================

Having faith and confidence, etc., that fully matures oneself and others is inconceivable. Manifest enlightenment is the ultimate meaning. Secondly, combining the means of how to learn with the fruit of such learning, faith, seeking the Dharma, teaching the Dharma, and practicing the Dharma are the four things to be practiced. Instruction and subsequent guidance are the two things to be known. The six perfections with skillful means, the four means of gathering, stupas, immeasurable qualities, and the qualities conducive to enlightenment are the things to be contemplated. The wondrous qualities are inconceivable. The ultimate qualities to be realized are the meaning of complete accomplishment. The second is form, adornment, etc. The third has three parts: the greatness of abandoning obscurations through the example of medicine, the greatness of obtaining power over qualities through the example of a king, and the greatness of enjoying the wealth of the noble ones through the example of jewels. Among these three, the first is like Manma, etc. The second is the difficulty of the Dharma, etc. The third is the noble lineage of jewels, etc. The chapter division of the first chapter is complete. ༈. Thirdly, the meaning of the words has twenty chapters. First, in establishing the Great Vehicle as the Buddha's word, there are two parts: establishing that the Great Vehicle is the Buddha's word and refuting the reasons for it not being the Buddha's word. The first part is further divided into three parts: briefly indicating the reason for establishing it, explaining the method of establishing it in detail, and establishing the Great Vehicle as the supreme. The first is also, scripture, etc. The second is divided into refuting the uncertain and refuting the unestablished. The first is all Buddhas, etc. The second is further divided into the definition of the Buddha's word, refuting the unestablished, and refuting the unestablished reason. The first is one's own, etc. The second is conceptual thought, etc. The third, establishing the means of attainment as unsurpassed, is vast, etc. Secondly, there are eight refutations of the reasons for it not being the Buddha's word. First, abandoning the faults of fear, illusion, etc., is beings, etc. Second, indicating the reason for not being afraid is other than that, etc. Third, indicating the reason for not refuting is the reason for establishing is here, etc. Fourth, indicating that there is no need to be afraid of non-places is my knowledge, etc. Fifth, establishing the Great Vehicle merely by not believing is believing in inferiority, etc. Sixth, indicating that it is not appropriate to abandon without hearing is after hearing, etc. Seventh, refuting the reason for abandoning, unreasoned attention is meaning, sound, etc. Eighth, not understanding
