The absence of self in individuals, which is not on the basis of individuals, and the absence of self in phenomena such as the eye, which is not on the basis of phenomena, is the selflessness of phenomena. The emptiness of individuals and themselves not being established by their own characteristics, and the emptiness of phenomena not being established by their own characteristics, are to be meditated upon with the realm of bliss. The self-nature emptiness of individuals and the self-nature emptiness of phenomena are also the selflessness of individuals and phenomena, so they are of the same meaning. The mind that grasps individuals and phenomena as being established by their own characteristics, and the mind that grasps individuals and phenomena as being established ultimately, is the ignorance of afflictions, the root of samsara, and also the grasping of self in individuals and phenomena. The way of grasping is not that individuals and phenomena are placed there by the power of conceptualization, but that individuals and phenomena are grasped as being established from their own side. In general, the self-nature emptiness mentioned above is taken as the object of the mind and meditated upon. When meditating with bliss taking emptiness as the object, just as the mind meditates with emptiness as the object, the two, bliss and mind, switch places, and one should meditate with bliss taking emptiness as the object. Such a way of meditating on emptiness is the secret empowerment, the wisdom empowerment, the way of meditating with bliss taking emptiness as the object during the fourth empowerment. Therefore, for the meaning of the fourth empowerment, offer a mandala and pray with 'Your lotus feet' and so on, thinking that the lama said this: During the wisdom and knowledge empowerment, when oneself and the consort appear as the deities of desire, the father and mother, in the state of being in union, the bliss born together takes self-nature emptiness as the object, being in union, in the same way, by becoming accustomed to meditating with bliss taking emptiness as the object, eventually the enjoyment body of perfect enjoyment, which is made up of only wind and mind, is a body in union with the self-appearing consort. At that very moment, the mind, the joy born together, and self-nature emptiness enter into one taste, and the state of non-duality, the wisdom of union, which is inseparable from all emptiness and luminosity, is attained, which is the essence of the fourth empowerment. Therefore, the fourth empowerment is indicated through the door of words, so the fourth empowerment is called the word empowerment, that is the meaning. Thinking that the lama has indicated in this way, one obtains the fourth empowerment, the word empowerment. The habitual tendencies of the obscurations of body, speech, and mind are washed away, leaving behind a special power of blessing. The path, the two truths, are inseparable union. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Be empowered to meditate on the completion stage of entering, and be fortunate to manifest the body of the union Vajradhara (Vajradhara, Holder of the Vajra).’ Thus, contemplate and recite, bestowing the purification of empowerment. Then, for the sake of the general empowerment of body, speech, and mind, offer a mandala and pray: ‘Just as the Protector, you manifest the qualities of body, speech, and mind for the sake of others, please grant them to me, Protector.’ After praying thus, say: ‘Just as the Protector Manjushri (Manjushri, Gentle Glory) has immeasurable qualities, may the compassion of Manjushri enter this fortunate one.’ Having said this, from the Guru Father-Mother, like a lamp dividing into two, a second Guru Father-Mother appears and enters from the crown of one's head, contemplating that the body, speech, and mind of the Guru Father-Mother and one's own body, speech, and mind become inseparable. Afterward, offer a mandala as a token of gratitude, perform whatever offerings and praises are possible, and perform whatever confessions and aspirations are possible. As previously explained, invite with the rays of light from the heart, enter from the crown of one's head, and dissolve into the Guru Father-Mother in the heart, contemplating as before. Guru and Yidam are inseparable Afterward, the instruction to continuously pray and receive the four samadhi empowerments is a special oral instruction of the great Jetsun Tsongkhapa. This was recorded as it came from the oral lineage of Realized Jampal Gyatso. Mangalam! Table of Contents The method of practicing the Guru and Yidam as inseparable is extremely profound. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
