For those who have not experienced suffering, it is impossible to grasp the knowledge of the spoon and to have no power of giving, just like this. If that is not the case, then here the meaning of experience is shown. If someone says that, it is not right, because: 'Innate joy, cannot be found from anywhere.' Because it is said (in the scriptures). Similarly, 'Like the ultimate joy of a young girl, arises an indescribable happiness.' Because it is said (in the scriptures), what one has experienced is like telling a student. Furthermore, if one speaks of the meaning of experience, is it speaking of the experience of pleasure arising from the two senses, or is it speaking of realizing the wisdom that is free from elaboration? The first case is not right, because that does not depend on the lama, and all those who have not detached from desire will arise. If according to the second case, then it does not depend on obtaining it, and some who do not possess the form of going to the other shore will also accomplish it, which would be absurd. 'The true empowerment that is spoken of,' etc., is not to refute, because it does not grasp the intention of the knowledge empowerment and all objects. Even so, this is not reasonable, because the knowledge empowerment is the complete purification of the body, and the purification of secret and wisdom is the complete purification of speech and mind. If someone says that the one who gives the knowledge empowerment is only completely pure in body, but not pure in mind and speech, even so, this is merely relying on the thoughts of an extremely deluded person, and is not certain. If it is not so, the knowledge empowerment will be completely lost. Just as with water and diadem and vajra and bell and name, in sequence, like a mirror and equality and individually discriminating and accomplishing activities and the wisdom of the extremely pure dharmadhatu will be accomplished, because it is said (in the scriptures). If someone says that even if the five wisdoms reach the ultimate of complete purification, but speech and mind are not completely pure, then who would strive for this teaching? Therefore, the one who receives the knowledge empowerment must have power over the three empowerments. If someone says that these will not be stable in this way, it is meaningless, then not all are completely combined. For example, in some cases, compared to a pure pearl necklace, showing the emptiness of breakage is more skillful. 'In the Vajra Word Collection of the Second Chapter of the Second Examination, it is also said so.' --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Therefore, in order to dispel the ordinary appearance, one should generate the pride of a deity in oneself. In order to dispel that pride, one should meditate on the aspect of non-objectification. When the mind abides in equanimity, at that time, one should ascertain that it is the very reality.’ How does one generate the aspect of pride? For the beginner yogi, one should first familiarize oneself with the Nirmanakaya (emanation body). When the emanation body becomes stable, one should meditate on the Sambhogakaya (enjoyment body), making it stable. When the emanation body becomes clear, and the Sambhogakaya becomes slightly clear, the Dharmakaya (truth body) is without objectification. This is a brief explanation.’ In the Vajra verse extraction of Chapter Eleven, this also distinguishes the difference between directly realizing the correct wisdom and directly realizing the metaphorical wisdom, and it should be known as two types. If it is not so, then the fleeting arising of metaphorical wisdom is also impossible, because first the metaphor must be determined beforehand. Therefore, metaphorical wisdom is inferior, while the wisdom of the exemplified is only superior. Therefore, those who, from the very beginning, are able to generate the wisdom of the exemplified without relying on the metaphor, do not rely on metaphorical wisdom. Some who cannot enter the exemplified without relying on metaphorical wisdom, those rely on both. Here, the celibate mantra practitioner should not experience metaphorical wisdom, because it leads the root guru to fall into the lower realms. Those who think, ‘I will experience it, but others will not,’ should also not break the initial vows, but should properly guard them. Composed by the great teacher Kamalasila. Translated, edited, and finalized by the Indian Khenpo Vinayadeva and the translator Bhikshu Chokyi Sherab. Auspicious! May this merit cause the precious teachings of the Buddha to spread, flourish, and remain long in all directions from all doors! Hey, Vajra Notes! There are two methods for the glorious Hevajra practice: the condensed lineage and the individual lineages. From the fifth chapter of the Guhyasamaja Tantra: ‘Either meditate on each mandala individually, or the condensed mandala.’ There are also two ways for the condensed lineage: ‘After that, eight eights reside in the center, or twenty-five. When the mandala is condensed, the doors have iron hooks, ropes, chains, and vajras.’ Another translation says: ‘Likewise, there is the vajra descending.’ --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
