Collected Teachings of Je Tsongkhapa JTs72 A Concise Method for Engaging in the Visualization Practices of the Six Dharmas of Naropa, Composed by the Great Bodhisattva Kunsang According to the Words of Je. A Concise Method for Engaging in the Visualization Practices of the Six Dharmas of Naropa, Composed by the Great Bodhisattva Kunsang According to the Words of Je. The Special Preliminary Practice. Vajrasattva Meditation and Recitation. A Concise Method for Engaging in the Visualization Practices of the Six Dharmas of Naropa, Composed by the Great Bodhisattva Kunsang According to the Words of Je. I prostrate with great reverence at the lotus feet of the venerable and holy one, inseparable from Vajradhara. Here, in explaining the instructions known as the profound path of the Six Dharmas of Naropa, there are two parts: the special preliminary practice, and based on that, how to meditate on the path. The first part has two aspects: the Vajrasattva meditation and recitation. First, one should definitely do a refuge and bodhicitta generation that blends with the mindstream. Then, on the crown of oneself, from paṁ (seed syllable, Devanagari: प, Romanized Sanskrit: paṁ, Literal meaning: lotus) arises a white lotus, and from a (seed syllable, Devanagari: अ, Romanized Sanskrit: a, Literal meaning: none) arises a lunar disc. On top of the lunar disc, from hūṁ (seed syllable, Devanagari: हुं, Romanized Sanskrit: hūṁ, Literal meaning: hum) arises a white five-pronged vajra, marked in the center with hūṁ (seed syllable, Devanagari: हुं, Romanized Sanskrit: hūṁ, Literal meaning: hum). From that, light radiates, accomplishing the two benefits. The light gathers back, completely transforming into Vajrasattva, with a white body, holding a vajra in the right hand and a bell in the left, embraced by the consort Vajradhatvishvari, white, holding a curved knife and a skull cup. Adorned with various precious ornaments, possessing the signs and examples, seated in the vajra posture. At his heart, on a moon, is a white hūṁ (seed syllable, Devanagari: हुं, Romanized Sanskrit: hūṁ, Literal meaning: hum). From that, light radiates, inviting the wisdom being identical to oneself. Offer with the five offerings, JAḤ HŪṂ BAṂ HOḤ (藏文:ཛཿཧཱུྃ་བཾ་ཧོཿ). Hook, settle, bind, and please. Again, from the hūṁ (seed syllable, Devanagari: हुं, Romanized Sanskrit: hūṁ, Literal meaning: hum) at the heart, light radiates, inviting the deities of empowerment, and after offering, pray: 'Please, all the Tathagatas, grant me empowerment.' The Tathagatas have the intention of granting empowerment. The consorts hold precious vases filled with the nectar of wisdom, and recite: 'Just as at the time of birth, the gods bathed him, so too, I bathe the Buddha's body with pure divine water. Oṃ Sarva Tathāgata Abhiṣeka Ta Samaya Śrīye Hūṃ (藏文,梵文天城体,梵文罗马拟音,汉语字面意思)'. With this, empowerment is granted. The body is filled with the nectar of wisdom, and Akshobhya adorns the head. Pray that the Bhagavan Vajrasattva purifies the sins and obscurations and all the samaya violations of myself and all others. From the hūṁ (seed syllable, Devanagari: हुं, Romanized Sanskrit: hūṁ, Literal meaning: hum) at the heart, light radiates, --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Light radiates, striking all sentient beings, purifying all their sins, obscurations, and transgressions. Offerings are made to all Buddhas and Bodhisattvas of the ten directions. Their body, speech, mind, qualities, and activities are all gathered in the form of light, dissolving into the Hūṃ (Tibetan: ཧཱུཾ, Sanskrit Devanagari: हुं, Sanskrit Romanization: hūṃ, Chinese literal meaning: Seed Syllable) at the heart, becoming glorious and endowed with power. Around the Hūṃ, recite: Oṃ Vajra Heruka Samaya, Manu Pālaya, Heruka Tvenopatiṣṭha, Dṛḍho Me Bhava, Sutoṣyo Me Bhava, Supoṣyo Me Bhava, Anurakto Me Bhava, Sarva Siddhiṃ Me Prayaccha, Sarva Karma Su Tsame, Chittaṃ Shriyaṃ, Kuru Hūṃ Ha Ha Ha Ha Hoḥ, Bhagavan, Vajra Heruka, Mā Me Muñca, Heruka Bhava, Mahā Samaya Sattva Āḥ (Tibetan: ཨོཾ་བཛྲ་ཧེ་རུ་ཀ་ས་མ་ཡ། མ་ནུ་པཱ་ལ་ཡ། ཧེ་རུ་ཀ་ཏྭེ་ནོ་པ་ཏིཥྛ། དྲི་དྷོ་མེ་བྷ་བ། སུ་ཏོ་ཥྱོ་མེ་བྷ་བ། སུ་པོ་ཥྱོ་མེ་བྷ་བ། ཨ་ནུ་རཀྟོ་མེ་བྷ་བ་། སརྦ་སིདྡྷི་མྨེ་པྲ་ཡཙྪ། སརྦ་ཀརྨ་སུ་ཙ་མེ། ཙིཏྟཾ་ཤྲི་ཡཾ། ཀུ་རུ་ཧཱུཾ་ཧ་ཧ་ཧ་ཧ་ཧོཿ བྷ་ག་ཝན། བཛྲ་ཧེ་རུ་ཀཿ མཱ་མེ་མུཉྩ། ཧེ་རུ་ཀ་བྷ་བ། མ་ཧཱ་ས་མ་ཡ་སཏྭ་ཨཱཿ). Light radiates from the syllable, purifying the sins and obscurations of all sentient beings, offering inconceivable offerings to the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas, gathering all the blessings of body, speech, and mind, dissolving into the syllable. From the syllable, a stream of white nectar flows, descending from the union of the parents, entering through the Brahma aperture at the crown of the head, the sins and obscurations of the three doors exiting from the sense organs and pores in the form of blackness, sins and obscurations are cleared away, the entire body is filled with the stream of wisdom nectar, becoming white and radiant, contemplate that realization and qualities arise in oneself and others, and then recite the Hundred Syllable Mantra as much as possible, after which recite: Through ignorance and delusion, I have transgressed and broken my vows, Guru Protector, please protect me! Lord Vajradhara, possessing great compassion, Lord of beings, protect me! Having prayed in this way, Vajrasattva said: 'Son of the lineage, your sins and broken vows are all purified.' Having said this, he dissolves into oneself, one's own three doors become inseparable from the body, speech, and mind of Vajrasattva. Practicing Guru Yoga: When practicing Guru Yoga, visualize in the space in front, on a precious throne supported by lions, on a lotus and sun disc, the essence is one's own Guru, the form is Vajradhara, body color blue, one face, two arms, the right hand holding a vajra, the left hand holding a bell, embracing a consort similar to oneself, wearing celestial garments and skirts, adorned with precious jewels, seated in the vajra posture, radiating brilliant light from the five lights, on the moon at the crown of the head is a white Oṃ (Tibetan: ཨོཾ, Sanskrit Devanagari: ओं, Sanskrit Romanization: oṃ, Chinese literal meaning: Seed Syllable), on the lotus at the throat is a red Āḥ (Tibetan: ཨཱཿ, Sanskrit Devanagari: आः, Sanskrit Romanization: āḥ, Chinese literal meaning: Seed Syllable), on the sun at the heart is a blue Hūṃ (Tibetan: ཧཱུཾ, Sanskrit Devanagari: हुं, Sanskrit Romanization: hūṃ, Chinese literal meaning: Seed Syllable), radiating light. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
