From the beginning of the phrase "teaching the Dharma," up to the phrase "will not become without consciousness," connect as before. Any son or daughter of good family who hears that name will not turn back from unsurpassed, perfect, complete enlightenment, and will also uphold the exhaustion of all afflictions of close grasping. Young man, from this Buddha-field upwards, there are countless, immeasurable, inconceivable Buddha-fields like grains of sand. After passing through so many Buddha-fields, there is a world called "Possessing the Moon." If asked, how many immeasurable Buddha-fields must be passed through to reach the world called "Possessing the Moon"? Young man, it is like this: this three-thousand great thousand world system is completely filled with sand up to the peak of existence. Then, someone takes one grain of sand from that sand and places one grain of sand in each Buddha-field in the upward direction. In this way, all the sand is completely exhausted and used up in the upward direction. Even so, one cannot measure or understand the boundaries of those Buddha-fields. After passing through so many countless, immeasurable Buddha-fields like grains of sand, there is a world called "Possessing the Moon." That world is also as flat as the palm of a hand, well-adorned with the seven precious substances, situated on a golden ground, with patterns of eyes painted on it. It is well-adorned with jeweled trees. There are no hell realms, animal rebirths, hungry ghosts, or assemblies of asuras. There are no grass, dry wood, thorns, stones, gravel, or pebbles. There are no cliffs or precipices. Flowers and fruits are scattered about. There, the Thus-Gone One, the Arhat, the Perfectly and Completely Awakened Buddha, named Wealth and Auspiciousness, now dwells, lives, and exists, surrounded by Bodhisattvas, gazed upon by Bodhisattvas, endowed with knowledge and conduct, the Sugata, the Knower of the World, the Tamer of Beings, the Unsurpassed, the Teacher of Gods and Humans.

The Blessed Buddha, adorned with the thirty-two major marks of a great being, dwells beautifully among his retinue, like well-refined and purified gold, or like precious jewels well-arranged. He teaches the Dharma, which is good in the beginning, good in the middle, and good in the end. He also teaches thus: 'It is impossible for the earth element to be absent.' Likewise, he teaches that it is impossible for the water element, fire element, wind element, the lord of beings Brahma, as well as form, feeling, perception, formation, and consciousness to be absent. Any son or daughter of good family who hears his name will not turn back from unsurpassed, perfect, complete enlightenment, and will also attain the unsurpassed precious Dharma. Young man, thus, any son or daughter of good family who hears the names of the Tathagata, Arhat, Perfectly Awakened One, who is perfect in conduct, complete with virtues, complete with wisdom, discipline, concentration, wisdom, liberation, and complete with the vision of the wisdom of liberation, will not turn back from unsurpassed, perfect, complete enlightenment. Young man, in the past, in a time long ago, immeasurably longer than countless eons, there was an eon called 'Jewel Source.' At that time, a Tathagata, Arhat, Perfectly Awakened One, endowed with knowledge and conduct, Well-Gone, Knower of the World, Guide of Beings to be Tamed, unsurpassed, Teacher of Gods and Humans, Buddha, Blessed One, named Ocean Glory, appeared in the world. At that time, all ten of these Tathagatas, Arhats, Perfectly Awakened Ones, together harmoniously generated roots of virtue, and with various kinds of food, drink, edibles, ointments, as well as flowers, incense, garlands, oils, umbrellas, banners, and countless forms of pennants, made vast offerings to that Blessed One, and all of them

Together in harmony, they generated the unsurpassed, perfectly complete, and fully awakened Bodhicitta. All beings, on the same day, in a moment, an instant, a mere second, attained forbearance of the Dharma of non-arising. Thereafter, they gradually practiced the conduct of Bodhisattvas, and completely perfected the Dharmas that accord with the path to Bodhi. In a moment, a mere second, each in their own Buddha-fields, they manifestly and completely awakened to unsurpassed, perfectly complete, and fully awakened Bodhi. In a moment, an instant, a mere second, they turned the wheel of Dharma. The lifespan of all was also equal. Youth, all those Tathagatas, Arhats, perfectly complete Buddhas, will also, on the same day, in a moment, an instant, a mere second, completely pass into Nirvana. Having spoken thus, the son of King Embodied Heart, the youth Jewel Moon, said this to the Bhagavan: "Bhagavan, the lifespan of those Tathagatas, Arhats, perfectly complete Buddhas is truly wondrous! Bhagavan, those Tathagatas, for the sake of compassion for sentient beings, have taken such a long lifespan! Bhagavan, furthermore, how much merit will be generated by any son or daughter of good family who accepts, believes, and does not abandon or discard this lifespan of those Tathagatas?" The Bhagavan said: "Youth, if one were to fill this three-thousand great thousand world system, and those Buddha-fields of these ten Tathagatas, and the eleven Buddha-fields, with the seven precious jewels of the gods, and give them as offerings to the Tathagatas, Arhats, perfectly complete Buddhas, every single day, and continue to give in this way for countless eons; and if any son or daughter of good family hears these names and these lifespans, and accepts them as they are, believes in them, and does not abandon them, does not revile them, but reveres and agrees with them, then the accumulation of merit...
