Completely filled. Cut off the clinging to the self of the individual. Become endowed with the aspects of deity, mantra, and dharmata. The practice of skill is as in the previous light dissolving method. Visualize the syllable Hūṃ, sharp and swift, and fixate on whatever object it is directed towards. Like a thunderbolt falling from the sky, pierce through with a cracking sound, making it completely transparent inside and out. Internally, visualize the body filled with the Hūṃ syllable, scattering particles outward and inward. With the weapon of fierce mantra, crush the brain of the self-grasping demon. This is the essential instruction for severing self-grasping, causing it to utterly collapse. During the practice of Hūṃ, as the glorious emanation said, "Illusory yogis with the distant song of Hūṃ, maintain a relaxed conduct, holding to the manner of illusion. In solitary places, fearlessly proclaim the sound of Hūṃ." As it is said, without separating for even a moment from the appearance of refuge, bodhicitta, and the Three Jewels, sing the Hūṃ song. Afterwards, dedicate and make aspirations: May all sentient beings realize the wisdom of their own nature, may the illusions of self-appearance be purified in the dharmadhatu, and may they become the realm of light of the victorious ones of the three kayas. Think in this way and make aspirations. The method of gentle seeking: On trees, rocks, and so forth, visualize the Hūṃ syllables connected like a rosary, turning clockwise, with the first Hūṃ syllable at the top. Focus your awareness on it and slowly sing the Hūṃ song. If you feel tired, merge one into the other, unravel to the left, gather it at your heart, and rest. By doing this, you have the need to be able to transform awareness in any way, inwardly or outwardly. The method of entering the path: Gather at the crown chakra and dissolve into the three doors of body, speech, and mind. Visualize yourself as a Hūṃ syllable filled with blue light, and with a swaying gait, go to places where there is attachment, and to all places visible and invisible. Slowly recite the Hūṃ syllable. From the peak of existence down to hell, in all the abodes of the six realms, rays of light emanate from the Hūṃ syllable. By manifesting the activities of the form body, purify and cleanse the habitual tendencies and the two obscurations of the six realms, and believe that all appearances and sounds are the play of the three categories of deity, mantra, and dharmata. Transform the three doors into the three secrets. May the Shravakas rise from cessation and think they have become Buddhas. In this way, purify the habitual tendencies of the environment. In all Hūṃ practices, it is crucial to unite wind, mind, and Hūṃ into one. The method of purifying the field: Generally, the period from birth until the onset of fatal illness is called the natural bardo. From the cessation of the inner breath until the ground appearance is not complete is called the death bardo.

The Bardo of Dharmata. When the mind-body manifests and recollection arises, it is the Bardo of Existence. The stability of the ground, the absence of delusion, thought, attachment, and whatever is not defiled, how long it lasts, when the clear light of the ground appears, it remains for a duration of five such times. The stability is severed, and liberation occurs at that time. When the light appears, liberation is attained through direct transcendence. All sentient beings have the ground appearance. Although it appears like a shooting star, it is not recognized. If one is not liberated from these two bardos, then at this time, the vital point of the path is the inseparability of mind and wisdom. If one has faith in the Lama, the vows are not broken, and one has devotion and diligence in practice, then when the Bardo of Existence is recollected, one remembers the Lama. The Lama appears directly. Empowerment and instructions are given, and because of the strength of practice, one goes to the five pure lands upon exhaling. In the charnel ground mandala made of central self-awareness wisdom, one becomes a Buddha. This is the command of Vajradhara. One is liberated by practicing Dzogchen in the five pure lands upon exhaling. It is not the common five pure lands. The method of purifying the pure lands is as follows: Instantly arriving in the pure land of Abhirati, one is born miraculously in a lotus flower, becoming a pure land body, with all the ground made of crystal, a four-sided mandala with four doors and horse stairs. Inside, one meets the deities of Vajrasattva and the Vajra family, prostrates, makes offerings, circumambulates, and requests teachings. Having seen all the conditions, decorations, qualities, and virtues of the pure land, in an instant, one is miraculously born in the southern pure land of Ratnasambhava, and sees as before. Everything is made of gold. Likewise, Amitabha is red. Amoghasiddhi is green. After seeing them, in the wrathful pure land of blazing fire above, as soon as one meets them, the two obscurations of knowledge are cleared away. One meets Youthful Vajra, prostrates, makes offerings, circumambulates, and so on, listens to the teachings of the Great Perfection, and finally visualizes becoming a Buddha in the heart of Youthful Vajra. If one does not practice Nyingtik Ma-mGon, Rahula, Damchen, etc., and only seeks happiness and pleasure for the sake of food, clothing, and subduing enemies in this life, without ever considering the next life, then such a person who does not have vows has the fault of breaking vows. If one knows that a person who has vows is the manifestation of the power of self-aware wisdom, then practicing can be a Sangha friend on the path to liberation. If one practices the Three Roots, the Lama gives instructions. The Yidam does not lead one astray. The Dakinis and Dharma Protectors remove the obstacles of the ground and path, and thus it is manifested.
