If you cannot mix with conduct, then practicing Rushan will enable you to bring meditation into conduct. Even if you recognize the view, the way to distinguish whether you have confidence or not is: awaken in the mandala of the three doors and three secrets, do not lose the essence of the view of the inseparability of mind and wisdom. Do not lose the state of meditation. Do not let behavior become vulgar, but spontaneously arise all good and bad thoughts, like a madman making a ruckus, let them arise. Place appearances as unreal and awareness as without support, and do not change whatever arises. If there is no need, then completely cut off spontaneous thoughts. Destroy with antidotes. Follow mindfulness. Do not act like hitting a pig's snout, but let everything appear naturally. When appearances want to stop, then stop; when stopping wants to appear, then let it appear. It is said that if the view has confidence, then when a great meditator lets go of meditation, meditation will not let go of the great meditator, like when meditation turns around and grabs the great meditator. The Omniscient One said in the Three Sections of Self-Liberation that the times of grasping and letting go are different. To dispel with the correct view is the best kind of meditation. If you follow whatever arises and fall into confusion, then you must seize it with mindfulness. Even if that is bad, you have to do it. It is said that at this time, you should dispel it with strong mindfulness. Having practiced in this way, you must demonstrate a practice that seems to have never experienced confusion. Gyangkhang Tsong said that external appearances are not abandoned, liberation occurs on appearances; internal thoughts are not abandoned, liberation occurs on thoughts; if the self-nature of secret awareness-emptiness is not lost, then that is a good settling of Trekchö, this is what the Buddha said. It is said that if you know how to practice only during Rushan, then you can determine whether your own view and meditation are correct or not, so this is important. Otherwise, clinging to a certain object, this is the real pith instruction for eradicating the basis of confusion. Although it is generally said that Tögal Rushan and Trekchö are skill training, this external Rushan is also a special Trekchö skill training, the Omniscient One said in the Three Sections of Self-Liberation: Just like in a secluded place, the top of a snowy mountain, a cave, a lake island, a place decorated with flowers, a garden, a monastery, a city, a cemetery, etc., abandon the mind of fear and wander in the cemetery. It is good to make mind and wisdom inseparable moment by moment. Even generating bodhicitta should be like the bodhicitta of highest yoga.

Mipham Rinpoche said during the preliminary practices, "I and limitless sentient beings are inherently Buddhas." etc. Therefore, it is necessary to have the means to manifest the self-abiding kaya and wisdom, as well as the dedication. In short, in the state of inseparability of mind and intellect, understand appearances as unreal. Rest the awareness in a state of non-reliance or non-attachment. One must abide in that state, otherwise, if these three are disconnected, it is nothing. During recitation, stabilize the samadhi with a seal. Visualize the external environment, the field of (Tibetan: ཧཱུྃ, Sanskrit Devanagari: हुं, Sanskrit Romanization: hūṃ, Chinese literal meaning: Hum), as a field of clear light. Although it appears to exist due to clinging to reality, in reality, it is a field of clear light. This will increase the power of vipassanā. It is said that the fire of (Tibetan: ཧཱུྃ, Sanskrit Devanagari: हुं, Sanskrit Romanization: hūṃ, Chinese literal meaning: Hum) wisdom benefits ghosts, spirits, and beings in the bardo. The three of knowing, perfecting skills, and gaining stability are also achieved by reciting the fierce and short sound of (Tibetan: ཧཱུྃ, Sanskrit Devanagari: हुं, Sanskrit Romanization: hūṃ, Chinese literal meaning: Hum), to know the four elements, etc. When practicing skills, saying to burn with the fire of wisdom does not mean killing sentient beings, nor does it mean destroying the mountains, fences, and houses of the external environment. Rather, it refers to the single empty appearance of non-existence, which is grasped as existence, established by the delusion of the three times of mind, led by ignorance and clinging to reality. For example, like seeing a yellow conch shell, one must purify the impure external environment and internal beings, but it should not be understood as complete annihilation, and one should not fall into nihilism, otherwise the root of merit will be cut off. The pure equality of Guhyagarbha and the self-appearing wisdom mandala of Dzogchen should also be understood in this way. Illusory yoga, accompanied by the distant calling song of (Tibetan: ཧཱུྃ, Sanskrit Devanagari: हुं, Sanskrit Romanization: hūṃ, Chinese literal meaning: Hum). Destroy the city of the illusory land with illusion. This is both the practice of skill and the expulsion of thoughts with (Tibetan: ཧཱུྃ, Sanskrit Devanagari: हुं, Sanskrit Romanization: hūṃ, Chinese literal meaning: Hum), and destruction with (Tibetan: ཕཊ, Sanskrit Devanagari: फट, Sanskrit Romanization: phaṭ, Chinese literal meaning: Phat). If the grasper and the grasped arise, destroy them with (Tibetan: ཕཊ, Sanskrit Devanagari: फट, Sanskrit Romanization: phaṭ, Chinese literal meaning: Phat). When they meet, awareness arises there. The external appearance is a field of clear light, and the internal awareness is a body of light. In the bardo of dharmata, if one clings to light as self, because one does not recognize the self-light of awareness, it becomes the basis of delusion, etc. Previously, when Zhabdrung Rinpoche went to Ramlingma Monastery at the bottom of Oyuk, the appearance of this appearance disappeared or dissolved into the dharmadhatu, and the external environment and internal beings became a pure field of clear light. It is said that awareness resides in a house of light.
