Concerning meditation: From the heart of the secret sky, awareness extends like a thread, passing through the path of the inner sky, the outer sky will become manifestly visible. Therein, to gather awareness into one and practice it is the practice of connecting the three skies. Furthermore, concerning transforming appearance and existence into a pure and vast realm, the tantra of Mahāyoga distinguishes places and appearances, thereby transforming places, reality, purity, and equality into non-duality. The scripture of Anuyoga does not distinguish between appearance and place, but transforms the appearance aspect into the mandala of Father Samantabhadra, the emptiness aspect into the mandala of Mother Samantabhadri, and the union aspect into the mandala of the Son of Great Bliss. The oral instruction of Atiyoga says that self-appearance is transformed into the great mandala of wisdom. Once awareness is recognized and rests in its own nature, whatever place appears, whatever thought arises, there is no need to reject, establish, accept, or discard; by resting in it, and acting in the unobstructed appearance and awareness without suppression, the accumulation of merit is perfected. Not being attached to the grasper and the grasped is to cultivate awareness in a thorough way, thereby perfecting the accumulation of wisdom. Thus it is said.
