Having served with all the comforts of life, who can understand the profound Dharma? Having heard such a Dharma that contradicts all the world, having heard the Dharma of emptiness, signlessness, and wishlessness, and then abandoning it and falling into the hells of sentient beings, one will rise from that place very quickly. Serving the Buddha with signs is not like that. When this was said, the Blessed One Manjushri praised, saying: "Well said! Well said! Just as you have said. Hearing this is like the appearance of a Buddha." Furthermore, Shariputra, those monks will rise very quickly and be completely liberated from suffering. Those foolish people who hold onto views with signs, who are doubtful, and who make offerings to the Tathagata, it is not like that. That will become the cause for their complete liberation from suffering, but they will not quickly attain liberation. Why is that? It is because they have not heard the profound Dharma. As it is said: "Profound and obscure, causing fear." Such a Dharma, even if it causes children to be afraid, should be proclaimed as if a disease cannot be cured without giving strong medicine, as Manjushri said. Thus it is said. The seven kinds of emptiness spoken of in the Lankavatara Sutra are: Thus, the emptiness of characteristics, the emptiness of the nature of things, the emptiness of existence, the emptiness of non-existence, the emptiness of all dharmas being inexpressible, the great emptiness of ultimate noble wisdom, and the emptiness of one thing by another. Among these seven emptinesses, the first is: All things are empty of their own and common characteristics. The second is: Since things do not arise from their own nature, all dharmas are empty of the nature of things. Therefore, it is called the emptiness of the nature of things. The third is: The aggregates that are without self and what belongs to self arise and occur from causes, reasons, agents, actions, and conditions. Therefore, it is called the emptiness of existence. The fourth is: For the aggregates, Nirvana did not exist before.

Therefore, it is called the emptiness of impossibility. The fifth is: Because the nature of what is completely imputed is inexpressible, all dharmas are the emptiness of inexpressibility. Therefore, it is called the emptiness of inexpressibility. The sixth is: The wisdom of the noble ones that I individually comprehend is the view, and it is empty of all the habitual tendencies of faults. Therefore, it is called the great emptiness of the ultimate noble wisdom. The seventh is: Where there is nothing, it is empty of that. In the house of the hunter's mother, there are no elephants, cows, sheep, etc., but it is not empty of monks and nuns, etc. Similarly, the self-nature and common characteristics of all dharmas, one does not have the other. Therefore, it is called one being empty of the other. This is the worst of the seven emptinesses, and it should be abandoned. Thus it is said. In Mipham Rinpoche's Condensed Commentary, it says: Relying on reasoning to investigate, the nature of this aggregate is merely the non-affirming negation of the truly established object to be refuted, just abiding in that. However, such a Bodhisattva, because he does not abide outside the realm of realization of reality that is free from exaggeration and denigration, therefore, he practices on the aspect of having an object of focus, rather than gaining faith in the profound place of the unborn dharmadhatu that is devoid of all conceptual elaborations of characteristics, it should be known that he is bound by the object and clinging to characteristics. In the nineteenth page, in the 'Entering the Gate of the Wise,' it says: The nature of the mind is luminosity, eliminating all temporary stains, becoming the great essence of self-nature purity, is the ultimate place of transformation of the basis, the complete perfection of abandonment and realization, the Dharmakaya of the Buddha, although it has immeasurable qualities, but in short, it is the perfection of purity, bliss, permanence, and self. How is it? The essence of the Dharmadhatu is naturally pure, truly realizing the great wisdom of the two selflessnesses, completely destroying the temporary two obscurations and their habitual tendencies, no longer arising, possessing two purities, is the perfection of purity, which is the liberation body, or the extremely pure body. What need is there to mention the gross suffering and all faults
