A Record of the Three Words That Strike the Key Point: The Oral Tradition of the Lama. A Record of the Three Words That Strike the Key Point: The Oral Tradition of the Lama. The pith instructions that strike the three words to the heart, together with the oral instructions of the holy Lamas, are present here. I prostrate to the incomparable Lord of Compassion, the kind root Lama. Here, I wish to explain the way to practice the essential points of view, meditation, and action in a concise manner. First, the first, the Lama is the essence of the Lama, the embodiment of all the Jewels, therefore, by prostrating to him alone, one prostrates to all the objects of refuge. The exemplary Lama who represents this is the physical form with face and hands. The Lama of meaning who is represented is the clear light in the center of the heart, awakened by the Lama's instructions, and practicing that is the unborn Lama of meaning, therefore, I prostrate to the Lama. Thus. Then, the subject to be explained, the three aspects of view, meditation, and action, if one understands that all the root lineage Lamas are inseparable from one's own mind and practices accordingly, then the three aspects of view, meditation, and action will also converge into the wisdom of awareness. Therefore, the first of the three aspects of view, meditation, and action (of the near lineage) explained in conjunction with the name and meaning of the root lineage Lama is: The nature of reality, free from elaboration (according to the Sutras), the essence of the Sugata (according to the Father Tantras, the basis tantras, etc.), in the vast expanse (the realm of awareness), (manifestation) all the manifold appearances of samsara and nirvana are perfected in the equality of the nature of reality (the Great Equality), understanding this meaning is view, therefore, view is the vast expanse. Such a view is the nature of freedom from elaboration (the natural state). The aspect of knowing, wisdom (non-conceptual wisdom, vipashyana, moving, self-liberated, pure, thus free from the extreme of agitation, shamatha. Not separated from the strength of clarity, thus vipashyana is free from the extreme of sinking). Establishing through vipashyana, and emptiness is also inseparable from the means of great compassion and loving-kindness (awareness is the nature of the self-arisen lamp of wisdom, therefore wisdom increases. Compassion is the all-pervading wisdom, therefore compassion increases. The union of wisdom and compassion, or the union of emptiness and compassion), abiding in one-pointedness, that is, emptiness is connected with compassion, this is meditation, therefore, meditation

It is the light of Mapa Khyentse. Like this, a person who possesses view, meditation, and conduct, and who practices the six paramitas of benefiting others in accordance with the conduct of the Bodhisattvas, the sprouts of the Buddhas (when awareness is clear and sharp, giving without holding onto anything, morality without attachment, patience without fear of suffering, diligence without laziness, meditation with awareness naturally abiding, wisdom with peace naturally arising, and the six, the uncommon conduct of Samantabhadra, etc.), is conduct. Therefore, conduct is the sprout of the Buddhas. In order to show that a person who practices view, meditation, and conduct like this is (very) fortunate. Like this, if one relies on a secluded mountain hermitage, abandons the affairs of this life, and practices single-pointedly, then in this life one will be liberated on the basis of original purity. Therefore, attaining Buddhahood in one lifetime is not difficult. Even if it is not like that, even if one only has a longing for such (mind-free) view, meditation, and conduct, in this life one can transform adverse circumstances into the path, and many expectations and worries of this life will not arise, and in the next life one will go from happiness to happiness. Therefore, even if it is not like that, the mind will feel happy. Therefore, starting from explaining the view, meditation, and conduct, which have such benefits, in order, first I want to explain in detail how to practice the view. (Distinguishing the view is: the conceptual minds of the vehicles, and the direct perception of the nature of reality. Although they are similar in the state of view, they are similar, but they are far from each other.) The view is the vast Longchen Rabjam. That is also because the three statements of essential instructions strike the key point of practice, thereby cutting off the life force of delusion. Therefore, the three statements strike the key point of meaning. First, for those who have not understood the view, the method of introducing the view is, in general, starting from the characteristic vehicle, the view is determined by view, scripture (the three pitakas), and reasoning (the ground, original purity) (the four extremes are purified), and the common secret mantra practitioners rely on the wisdom of the example of the third empowerment (the empowerment of great bliss) to introduce the wisdom of the meaning of the fourth empowerment, etc. (searching for the view through meditation) etc., there are many ways. (As the Treasury says: There are two kinds of teachings of the Teacher, etc., namely listening, thinking, and meditating.) Here are the excellent ones of the practice lineage.
