In every way, with reverence, I always pray. Please bless me with compassion. May all outer and inner obstacles and adverse conditions, without exception, be completely pacified, and may all common and supreme accomplishments be swiftly granted. Praising and praying to you, may I never be separated from you, the Bhagavan, quickly attain your state, and like you, tame beings.' After praising in this way, the Bhagavan Vajra Vidarana (Vajra Destroyer) and his retinue, may the Buddha's teachings flourish, may sentient beings have immeasurable happiness, and especially may all outer and inner obstacles and hindrances of us patrons and retinue be pacified, and may all supreme and common accomplishments be swiftly granted. Then, offering the torma, it should be known in accordance with the general practice of the yidam (personal deity) and the three portions of the torma. Then again, offer to and praise the deity in the vase, and pray. Recite the Hundred Syllable Mantra to make up for any deficiencies, ask for forgiveness of faults, dedicate the merit, and recite auspicious verses. Then, invite the wisdom being to depart by reciting 'Om, you accomplish all the benefits of sentient beings,' etc. Contemplate the samaya being dissolving into the water that arises from the samaya being. Then, if performing the bathing ritual, first wash the one to be blessed with clean water, then place them on the bathing platform. Holding the vajra and bell yourself, recite: 'In the past, in the palace of the Sugatas (those who have gone to bliss), whatever special activity consistent with the Vajradhara (Vajra Holder) was commanded in order to subdue the wicked, please remember this vow activity. In order to destroy obstacles and wrong views, and to protect these beings, to definitely eliminate suffering and bring supreme bliss, Wrathful King, please grant your blessings today.' After praying in this way, visualize Vajra Vidarana and his retinue coming in the sky in front, dispel obstacles, and be pleased to bathe and protect. Think in this way yourself as well. Cover the one to be blessed with the smoke of gugul incense, play loud music, and recite the essence mantra to dispel obstacles. The way to bathe is: wash the actual one to be blessed, or the image appearing in a mirror, with blessed water, and after reciting the dharani (protective spell), recite: 'Sarva papam shantim kuru svaha (May all sins be pacified, svaha).' Similarly, 'Sarva bighnan (all obstacles), sarva rosanan (all anger), sarva dustan (all evil), sarva jvara (all fever), sarva upadrave (all calamities), sarva grahe (all grahas), sarva akala mrtyu (all untimely death), sarva durbhiksan (all famine), sarva durmrte (all bad death), sarva kule bhaya shantim (may all family fears be pacified), svaha.' --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

'Kuru Svaha (ཀུ་རུ་སྭཱཧཱ།)' May all sins and obscurations be pacified, Śānti (Śānti, Devanagari: शान्ति, Romanization: śānti, Peace) Guru (Guru, Devanagari: गुरु, Romanization: guru, Teacher) Svāhā (Svāhā, Devanagari: स्वाहा, Romanization: svāhā, Accomplishment)! May all diseases, all plagues, all demons, all harms, all untimely deaths, all hatreds, all shadows, all curses and bad fortunes, all disasters, all bad omens, all bad signs, all bad dreams, all inauspiciousness, all obstacles and evil influences be pacified. After each item, recite 'Śānti Guru Svāhā' and wash many times. If necessary, detoxification can be performed (e.g., 'The father of poison is also poison,' etc.). Then, perform the bathing, replacing the previous 'Śānti Guru' with 'Apānāya Svāhā (Apānāya Svāhā)', and bathe with peacock feathers, visualizing the sins and obscurations being thrown into the sea of poison. After that, perform protection, placing vajra crosses on the five places including the crown of the head, and reciting 'rakṣa rakṣa (Devanagari: रक्षा रक्षा, Romanization: rakṣa rakṣa, Protect Protect)' at the 'Śānti Guru' place, praying for the truth of the Three Jewels, the truth of mantras, vidyā-mantras, mudras, etc., especially the blessings of the wrathful king Vajra Vidāraṇa, may he protect so-and-so from all unfavorable aspects such as diseases and demons, 'rakṣa rakṣa Svāhā (Devanagari: रक्षा रक्षा स्वाहा, Romanization: rakṣa rakṣa svāhā, Protect Protect Accomplishment)'. By the blessings of Vajra Vidāraṇa, the power of mantras and vidyā-mantras, and the true words of truthful speakers, I have protected this being, may no one harm him. Recite these words and perform the protection. After that, have the practitioner enter the mandala of Vajradhara, reciting 'May all my sins and those of all sentient beings be purified' to 'May all sins be completely liberated', and at the same time as reciting 'May all sins be completely liberated', lift the practitioner from the bathing place and place them on a clean cushion, and wish them auspiciousness with 'Perfect' and other words. Then make offerings and dedicate the merit. This is the practice of Black Vajra Vidāraṇa, including the vase initiation and bathing ritual, written by the monk Sonam Sangpo (bsod nams bzang pos). May all sentient beings attain the state of the Bhagavan Vajra Vidāraṇa through this merit. May there be auspiciousness!
