The Hundred and Four Rituals of the Jonang Tradition. The Hundred and Four Rituals of the Jonang Tradition. Here resides the head of what is called the Hundred and Four Rituals of the Jonang Tradition. Here, explaining the Hundred and Four Rituals, I pay homage to the perfectly enlightened Buddha. The Teacher, the Sugata, said: When this precious Dharma of the teachings is about to decline, there will be internal strife among the mantra practitioners. The internal enemies of the mantra practitioners will disrupt the teachings, and that will be the field for subjugation. In order to repel the enemies of the truth of the Sage, the heretics of the Bon and Bonpo traditions, and those who break their vows, please repel the four maras and the Heart Sutra. One should diligently practice mantras. Om Svasti! I pay homage to the Three Jewels. To perform the offering of the Hundred and Four Tormas, there are three parts: preliminary practices, main practices, and subsequent activities. The first part has two: drawing the mandala and accumulating the substances for the Hundred and Four. The first is: on a clean ground, within a mandala of eight lotus petals, draw the right hand of the Sage in a supine mudra, with the hand head complete and half of the handkerchief. In the center of the palm, also arrange the image of the Sage in the center of the eight lotus petals. Surround it with offerings. The second part is accumulating substances: a hundred consecrated tsatsas, a hundred butter lamps, a hundred grain tormas, a hundred rice tormas, etc., arranged in the four directions in the center of the palm. In addition, all kinds of offerings should be gathered, as well as offerings, near-use offerings, and ransom objects. The second part, the main practice, has eight: visualizing oneself as the deity, the origin of the past, inviting, abiding, offering the Hundred and Four, offering other offerings, praising, and entrusting activities. The first part is: first bless the offerings. All sentient beings equal to the sky take refuge in the lama. Refuge in the Buddha, refuge in the Dharma, refuge in the Sangha, recite seven times. Refuge in the Buddha, Dharma, and Sangha, etc. May all sentient beings have happiness, etc. Instantly visualize oneself as the Sage, and in the heart, from the syllable Ah, on top of the lunar disc, there is the golden syllable Hum. From there, light radiates. In the sky in front, the great Sage is surrounded by the assembly of Buddhas and Bodhisattvas. Vajra Samaja. Om Shakyamuni Sapariwara Argham Pratitsa Svaha. Om Vajra
