The Twenty-first Profound Meaning. The Twenty-first Profound Meaning. The Twenty-first Profound Meaning Concluded. Oṃ Svasti. For those with profound insights, I think it is impossible to have conflicting views. However, due to the different beings to be tamed and the different needs and perspectives, different explanations are given. Here, the Dharma Lord, the Great Omniscient One with the Four Reliances, and the Great Paṇḍita, the Victorious Shakya Supreme, both share the same essential view and practice of Other-Empty Madhyamaka. However, when establishing the view at a particular time, there are many different tenets that need to be identified here. Among them, the one named Shakya believes that all the views of Prasangika and Svatantrika are valid meanings of the Middle Wheel and the Ratnagotravibhāga, and that the direct statements of the Middle Wheel are also literal. They believe that the direct statements of the Ratnagotravibhāga and the Final Wheel are inconsistent. The Great Omniscient Jonangpa, however, believes that although the views of Prasangika and Svatantrika claim to be the meaning of the Middle Wheel and the Ratnagotravibhāga, they are not flawless meanings. Although most of the words of the direct statements of the Ratnagotravibhāga seem to be in accordance, there are also many that are not. Many sutra sentences of the Middle Wheel clearly show Other-Empty, so the direct statements of the Middle Wheel and the Ratnagotravibhāga are not literal. Therefore, the direct statements of most of the words of the Middle Wheel and the Ratnagotravibhāga do not contradict both Prasangika, Svatantrika, and Other-Empty. However, those who draw from the source of the unique tenet known as Self-Empty have created the basis for error in themselves. It does not refer to that tenet and contradicts the system of that tenet, and there are many unique words that only show Other-Empty. Therefore, the Middle Wheel and the Ratnagotravibhāga also show Other-Empty Madhyamaka itself. However, from those, only in the Final Wheel and its commentaries, the unique aspects of Other-Empty are clearly and extensively explained. Although it does not refer to the unique tenet of Prasangika and Svatantrika, which is now known as the view of Self-Empty, it extensively explains the Self-Empty of the Victorious One and his retinue. This is the first difference. Furthermore, the former believes that the Abhisamayalankara explains both the tenets of Self-Empty and Other-Empty, that is, in order to cut off elaboration with view, it explains the Self-Empty of Prasangika, Svatantrika, and the three outer schools, and to experience through practice.

Considering the need for other-emptiness. The remaining four treatises of the Maitreya's Five Treatises only expound other-emptiness. There are also two categories within that: the Uttaratantra explains the ultimate one vehicle; in the other three treatises that prohibit the extinction of lineage, it is said that the ultimate is the three vehicles and the extinction of lineage. The latter says: The five treatises of Maitreya do not have their own separate tenets at all. The tenet known as self-emptiness is not explained even in the Abhisamayalankara. From the Sutra Ornament and others, there is absolutely no explanation of the extinction of lineage and the ultimate three vehicles. Thus it is said. Second. Again, the former says: To sever elaborations with view, self-emptiness is profound; to take it into practice with meditation, other-emptiness is profound. And, that self-emptiness is also recognized in accordance with the three ways of Prasangika, Svatantrika, and the outer schools of Tsongkhapa. The latter says: Although the view of self-emptiness accepted by the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas is the supreme method for severing elaborations, since it is included in other-emptiness, the views and tenets are not separate. The view of self-emptiness, Prasangika, Svatantrika, and the outer schools of Tsongkhapa, which is now said to consider ultimate truth as devoid of inherent existence, is a mistake. Therefore, it is not good to sever elaborations with view, because it will become slander. Thus it is said. Third. Again, the former says: Other-emptiness transcends Mind-Only, so Madhyamaka is understood thoroughly, but from the perspective of view, self-emptiness is even higher than that. However, the former will not become a mistake, because it is in accordance with the meaning of practice. Thus it is said. Again, the latter says: Self-emptiness also transcends Mind-Only, so it is merely a summary of the Madhyamaka of the four schools, but it is not completely ultimate. The highest of views is only other-emptiness. Thus it is said. Fourth. Again, the former says with its reason: In the Maitreya's Dharma and its followers, there is no analysis of non-dual wisdom. In general, if analyzed with reason, it is also impossible to analyze. Since the analytical reason of ultimate truth cannot be analyzed, the view of self-emptiness is profound. Even if it cannot be analyzed, the experience of wisdom will not be interrupted, so the meaning of practice exists like other-emptiness. Thus it is said. The latter says: Non-dual wisdom can be analyzed with reason, therefore, analyzing it is one's own illusion. Fifth. Again, the former says: Non-dual wisdom is a momentary awareness, it is not permanent, it is something that has no opportunity to exist. The latter says: That is not momentary, since it is liberated from the three times, it is permanent and stable. Thus it is said. Sixth. Similarly, for the knowledge of
