I prostrate to the place where the manner of passing into nirvana was shown. (Add this sentence) This is because four main activities have been mentioned, so one will also prostrate to the place where infinite activities are shown. Not only that, but one will also prostrate to the activities themselves shown in that place. The three activities here are only the appearance to the common beings to be tamed, because the Tathagata has abandoned birth and death, and from the past, he has already attained complete enlightenment in the Akanistha realm. Even turning the wheel of Dharma in the world is actually the other appearance of the beings to be tamed, but because the secret of speech is followed there, it is well known that the name of manifestation should not be applied to this. The so-called wheel of peace is because it makes the beings to be tamed abide in the state of perfect peace, so the word of action is applied to the agent and called peace. The meaning of the wheel is that peace is obtained from teaching the Dharma, and peace is also obtained by teaching the Dharma, so they revolve around each other. This wheel of Dharma also has three aspects, namely entering the peaceful path of the world, ripening, and the wheel of prophecy. The third is where the Sugatas are, etc., and where the Buddhas reside, walk, stand, and sleep, I prostrate to all of them. The fourth is above, etc., where above is the realm of the gods such as the Thirty-three Heavens, and the abode of the Yakshas, such as the city of the Dancing Bird. The middle is the human world, etc. Below are the great sea and the holes in the earth, which are the abodes of the Nagas, Asuras, and accomplished women. The so-called direction and corner refer to the place and the edge of the place, or the four directions and four corners where one resides. In the case of having a body, etc., the stupa with the image of the Tathagata is actually in the form of a palace, and the one without an image but with relics or the essence of letters represents the Dharmakaya, so I prostrate to both. Or, the stupa is an image, a scripture, and everything that is regarded as a symbol of the Dharma, among which those that have a form now are those with a body, in the past

The stupas of those Buddhas, the gross ones have been destroyed. The subtle and pure ones are indestructible, so they still exist now. The direct perception of Bodhisattvas, in the realm of activity beyond the world, What is seen clearly manifested is that because there is no gross form, it is formless. The meaning of having form and being formless, there are many other ways of saying it, but it is not what is to be discussed here. Second, the nature of the speaker, starting from "Two-legged Venerable" etc. That is also the direction of east and north, which is the northeast. In a certain world in that direction, the Tathagata named "Difficult to Rely On" spoke these four verses. And our teacher also repeated these verses and showed them to the retinue. "Two-legged Venerable" and "Victor" are synonyms for the name. Among them, "two-legged" refers to gods, humans, asuras, etc. Because they are the objects worthy of offering and respect from these beings, they are "Venerable" or "Supreme." Third, the benefits, starting from "any verse" etc. If one upholds this sutra of praise for life, reciting it day and night, then for the duration of one great kalpa, one will not fall into the lower realms. Because this merit will transform in this way. After that, by practicing virtuous deeds in those kalpas, one will be inclined towards the supreme and excellent Bodhi. That is to say, for ordinary beings who have not entered the path of liberation and still remain in samsara, It is impossible not to be born in the lower realms for countless kalpas. Therefore, not falling into the lower realms for that period of time does not mean that one will not fall into the lower realms later. Therefore, the fruition of such merit will certainly arise for those who generate Bodhicitta, have complete faith, and have undistracted minds. And for those who recite regularly but do not possess these qualities, a corresponding portion of the benefits will arise. For things that seem like small causes, but have been declared to have limitless benefits, do not disbelieve. Keep the inconceivable power of the profound Dharma in mind, generate faith, and strive to practice. So, is it not referring to another time?

In some cases, it may indeed be so. But apart from that, there is only a difference in time, sooner or later. As it is said, the benefits will certainly arise. Furthermore, some of the benefits of dharanis and mantras, etc., are spoken of based on the state of accomplishment of that vidya-mantra. However, do not, like some who pretend to be spiritual friends and claim to be knowledgeable in scriptures, abandon the door of faith in the Dharma. For those who doubt and have no faith, even if they practice, they will not achieve accomplishment. If one practices with firm faith and devotion, one will obtain all the perfections of conduct and the nature of liberation. This is the commentary on the four-line sutra composed by Taranatha. Mangalam! Checked once. Commentary on the first verse.
