Again, meditate. That is, you must meditate until you gain stability in the image, that is, gathering them separately. Once stability is attained, focus solely on the empty form and abide in it. Meditate until your own mind appears as the nature of the empty form. This is contemplation. Then, bring it into the body and mix it with vase breathing and meditate. The movement of the two vital airs, up and down, ceases, and the empty form and air merge. This is life force practice. Extend the duration of the meditation. The mind, empty form, and air, which were previously merged, now merge with the bindu, so that the wisdom fire of tummo blazes continuously, and bliss is repeatedly generated in the central channel. This is the limb of holding. Then, generate the special bliss of the consorts, real and mental, as mentioned above, and the father and mother deities of the empty form. This is recollection. Through this practice, the channels are filled with bodhicitta, and all the aggregates, elements, and sense bases transform into the form of bindus. This is the limb of samadhi. Then, you will attain the wisdom body of the Great Vajradhara. The means of gathering separately and contemplation, and the gatherings, are enhanced in the way described in the yoga of Dharma Mudra. This is the sequence of Mahamudra. The instruction on the fifth remaining meaning is that, with "the essence is formless, the seer," etc., it is explained that external objects are meaningless; they are appearances of the mind. There is no mind, nor does anything arise from the mind. The mere appearance of the mind is not an existent mode of being; everything is like the moon in water. It is explained with "the yogini knows by desire," etc. The nature of the thinking mind is also settled in an unobservable manner, that is, without meditation, and without a meditator. As it says, "Because you do not meditate with the mind," etc. Similarly, "Self-awareness is pure by nature" refers to awareness, and "The supreme bliss of one's own awareness" refers to the bliss of self-nature, and "Therefore, the Buddha is not a thing" explains that it is originally union, and by revealing "utterly pure purity," etc., it is determined that samsara is originally unestablished, and the mandala of dharmata is spontaneously accomplished. The way to meditate on these is as follows: First,

Keep the posture as before. Naturally settle the mind on the appearance, this is the first session. By looking at it with itself, it does not establish anywhere, this is the second session. Here, recognize that there is nothing other than the mind. Look clearly at the nature of the mind without any modification, this is the third session. Look at it a little bigger and search for it, it does not establish anywhere, this is the fourth session. Here, recognize that grasping is without self-nature, and symbolize that anything can arise from the uninterrupted clarity of awareness. Also recognize the self-nature, the dharma-nature, and all aspects, this is the fifth session. After symbolizing the mind-nature as bliss once with melting bliss and other bliss, even if there is no later cause, because the self-nature appears as bliss, recognize the realm as great bliss, this is the sixth session. The end of the present thoughts and the cessation of the gate of appearance is that emptiness inseparable from awareness, free from elaboration, is the root of everything, and abides unchanging. If you do not realize it in this way, then connect with compassion, and know that emptiness abides in the essence of compassion, this is the seventh session. Here, the so-called "recognition" is done according to the terms that were previously popular in Tibet. Those peaceful and expansive practices are not listed here because most of them are well known. Thus, this profound instruction of the great scholar Shantipa, which is even more profound than the completion stage of Hevajra, conforms to the literal meaning of the direct teachings of the tantra, and is also related to the ultimate true meaning, was also recorded by Jamyang Khyentse Wangpo Tāranātha. May there be auspiciousness! The essence of the glorious Hevajra's completion stage, the fourfold instruction, is clear.
