The Great Treasure of the Dakini Teachings TD2815, A Record of the Yangter Three Roots Integrated Practice, titled 'Rays of Jewel Light'. Homage to the Guru, Lotus, Manjushri, Vajra, Sharp). Herein lies the essence of the profound treasure of Dro Dul Sangye Lama (འགྲོ་འདུལ་སངས་རྒྱས་བླ་མ།,Dusum Sangye Lama), the common ancestor of the ocean of Tertöns (treasure revealers). Kunkhyen Dorje Ziji Tsal (ཀུན་མཁྱེན་རྡོ་རྗེ་གཟི་བརྗིད་རྩལ།,Kunkhyen Dorje Ziji Tsal), our supreme guide, unparalleled, received the transmission of the Yangter Three Roots Integrated Practice. This is a concise guide to the practice, compiled according to the oral instructions of Jamgon Lama (འཇམ་མགོན་བླ་མ།,Jamgon Lama) himself, without any personal fabrications. It consists of three parts: preliminaries, main practice, and concluding activities. The preliminaries are further divided into two: the preliminary for the session and the preliminary for the instructions. First, as stated in the text: 'Sit upright in a comfortable posture, practice the nine rounds of breath purification, etc.' Among the three key points of body, speech, and mind, first, in a secluded place, sit on a comfortable seat, adopting the seven-point posture of Vairochana or simply sitting upright. For the key point of speech, practice the nine or three rounds of breath purification, visualizing that all illnesses, evil influences, and defilements vanish like smoke dissipating from a chimney. Settle the mind into a state of relaxation, thinking that for the benefit of all sentient beings pervading the sky, I will practice this profound path. Visualize the root guru above your head, considering him to be the embodiment of all refuge objects, and with immeasurable devotion, pray: 'Precious Lama (བླ་མ་རིན་པོ་ཆེ།,Lama Rinpoche), embodiment of all Buddhas of the three times, please be mindful and bless my being.' After offering this prayer with complete reliance and surrender, visualize the guru dissolving into light and merging into you from the crown of your head. Whatever visualization you practice below, it is essential to perform this preliminary well before each session. Second, the preliminary for the instructions consists of three parts: inspiring the mind with renunciation, establishing the foundation with refuge, and generating the supreme Bodhicitta. First, through the four thoughts that turn the mind, guide the generation of complete renunciation from all aspects of Samsara. The detailed instructions for this have been explained elsewhere and should be practiced repeatedly until genuine experience arises. Here, assuming that one has already developed a mature mind, a brief reminder is given, combining all the visualizations into one: This human body, endowed with leisure and endowments, is extremely difficult to obtain when examined from any angle, whether in terms of cause, nature, number, or analogy, and once obtained, it is of great significance. If such a body is not diligently used for practice now, it is foolish to waste it meaninglessly. There is no certainty as to when death will come, and even accumulating wealth like mountains cannot delay it for a moment. At that time, nothing but the Dharma will be of help. Even having a large retinue is as powerless as dust in the wind. One goes alone to the Bardo (intermediate state), and suffers alone, and at that time, nothing but the Dharma will be of help. The suffering of Samsara has no end, and even if one is born in the heavens and enjoys temporary happiness, one will still fall into the lower realms once the karma is exhausted. Therefore, one should practice diligently and attain liberation from Samsara. Think in this way until genuine renunciation arises. Next, in the space in front of you, visualize the root guru and lineage gurus, as well as all the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas of the ten directions, Yidams (tutelary deities), Dakinis (female wisdom deities), and Dharma protectors, gathering like clouds. With intense faith, recite: 'To the Buddhas, the Dharma, and the Sangha, I take refuge until enlightenment. By the merit of generosity and other virtues, may I attain Buddhahood for the benefit of all beings.' Recite this until a stable refuge mind arises. Next, generate compassion for all sentient beings and recite: 'May all beings have happiness and the causes of happiness. May all beings be free from suffering and the causes of suffering. May all beings never be separated from the happiness without suffering. May all beings abide in equanimity, free from attachment and aversion.' Recite this until a stable compassionate mind arises. Next, recite the aspiration prayer: 'In all my lives, may I never be separated from the Guru, may I always enjoy the bliss of the sacred Dharma, having perfected the qualities of the paths and bhumis, may I quickly attain the state of Vajradhara.' Recite this until a stable Bodhicitta arises. This is the preliminary for the instructions. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
