Da Bao Fuzang TD2610 Practice of the Mind Section: Clear Elucidation of the A-Meaning 68-70-1a Practice of the Mind Section: Clear Elucidation of the A-Meaning Practice of the Four Symbols of the Space Section: Blissful Clarity, Non-Conceptuality, Blazing Radiance Practice of the Mind Section: Clear Elucidation of the A-Meaning 68-70-1b A Compilation of the Three Sections: Namo Guru Vajra Sattva Bhyaḥ (藏文,梵文天城体:नमः गुरु वज्र सत्त्व भ्यः,梵文罗马拟音:namaḥ guru vajra sattva bhyaḥ,汉语字面意思:Homage to the Vajra Sattva Guru). To practice the A-meaning (藏文,梵文天城体:अ,梵文罗马拟音:a,汉语字面意思:A) of the Mind Section, in the center of a round, blue thigle (sphere), write a white A-syllable and place it in front of you. Sit in the meditation posture, keeping your body straight. Gaze intently at the A-syllable. Vocally recite: 'The mind has no first arising, A (藏文,梵文天城体:अ,梵文罗马拟音:a,汉语字面意思:A). No abiding in the middle, A (藏文,梵文天城体:अ,梵文罗马拟音:a,汉语字面意思:A). No ceasing at the end, A (藏文,梵文天城体:अ,梵文罗马拟音:a,汉语字面意思:A). Separated from arising, abiding, and ceasing, A (藏文,梵文天城体:अ,梵文罗马拟音:a,汉语字面意思:A).' Look without blinking. When you close your eyes, practice until the clear light of the A-syllable arises. Then, gaze into the sky and meditate repeatedly. Again, visualize countless A-syllables arising from that A-syllable, filling the sky, earth, and intermediate space, and vocally recite: 'Phenomena and existence are vast and pervasive, A (藏文,梵文天城体:अ,梵文罗马拟音:a,汉语字面意思:A),' and meditate on this. Again, gather all those A-syllables into the single root A-syllable, and vocally recite: 'The Dharmakaya is a single thigle, A (藏文,梵文天城体:अ,梵文罗马拟音:a,汉语字面意思:A),' and meditate on this. There is no object of view, A (藏文,梵文天城体:अ,梵文罗马拟音:a,汉语字面意思:A). 68-70-2a Meditation transcends the mind, A (藏文,梵文天城体:अ,梵文罗马拟音:a,汉语字面意思:A). Conduct is free from calculation, A (藏文,梵文天城体:अ,梵文罗马拟音:a,汉语字面意思:A). The result is liberation in the heart of clear light, A (藏文,梵文天城体:अ,梵文罗马拟音:a,汉语字面意思:A).' Recite this and remain gazing into space without moving your eyes, and the meaning of transcending the mind will appear nakedly. The Vidyadhara Garab Dorje (藏文:དགའ་རབ་རྡོ་རྗེ།,含义:Joyful Vajra) in the Dharmadhatu, in the presence of Vajrasattva (藏文:རྡོ་རྗེ་སེམས་དཔའ།,含义:Vajra Being), at the time of the clear light of mind itself: 'I am the human Vidyadhara Garab Dorje (藏文:དགའ་རབ་རྡོ་རྗེ།,含义:Joyful Vajra). Looking at the mind, there is no object; grasping dissolves on its own. Separated from the mind of meditation, there is neither clarity nor obscurity. Letting go of conduct as it pleases, there is no hope or fear, no calculation. The result is natural liberation in the heart of clear light.' Recite this and remain in equanimity. Again, when the master Jampal Shenyen (藏文:འཇམ་དཔལ་བཤེས་གཉེན།,含义:Manjushri Friend) was practicing in the charnel ground of Hechen Bardal, leaning against a stupa, at dusk, he sang a song of spontaneous realization: 'I, Jampal Shenyen (藏文:འཇམ་དཔལ་བཤེས་གཉེན།,含义:Manjushri Friend), the heart-son of Garab Dorje (藏文:དགའ་རབ་རྡོ་རྗེ།,含义:Joyful Vajra), 68-70-2b The one who practices the instructions is invisible; clear light pervades all. That itself has no object; there is not even a particle of an object of focus. Although emptiness is pure from the beginning, the body and wisdom are clear.' Thus he spoke. Thus, singing the Vajra song, in the nature of mind itself, which is beyond expression, in a state free from fabrication and calculation, utter Phat (藏文,梵文天城体:फट,梵文罗马拟音:phaṭ,汉语字面意思:Destroy). May the A-syllable dissolve into the sky like a rainbow. By this virtue, may all beings, merit... --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Having accumulated the gathering of wisdom, may I attain the two sacred ones arising from merit and wisdom. Thus, sealing it with the dedication of merit. This was also written by Tertön Ratna for the practice of Ri-rgyal on the tenth day of the fifth month of the Water Rabbit year, may it be virtuous! The Blazing Radiance of Bliss, Clarity, and Non-Thought: A Practice of the Four Symbols of the Longdé. Namo Guru Padmakaraya (藏文,梵文天城体,梵文罗马拟音,Homage to Guru Padmakara) The way to practice the Four Symbols of the Longdé: A yogi who has received empowerment and holds the vows, Sits on a comfortable seat, eliminates impure winds, Generates the two aspects of bodhichitta, aspiration and action. Prays with devotion to the lama. This is the preliminary stage. Second, the main part: With the body in the seven-point posture of Vairochana, First, the symbol of the key point of clarity: not blocking the senses, looking straight ahead at the tip of the nose, about a handspan high. Thereby, a self-illuminating essence of mind will arise in the continuum. Second, the symbol of the key point of non-thought: not moving the senses, keeping the eyeballs still and unmoving. Whatever arises, a self-illuminating essence of mind that does not flow anywhere will arise. This is called enriching clarity with emptiness. Third, the symbol of the key point of bliss: drawing up the lower wind slightly. Thereby, a blissful experience of not feeling the body will arise. Fourth, the symbol of non-differentiation: the tip of the tongue not touching anything, and the senses not moving. Thereby, bliss, clarity, and non-thought, the very nature of non-differentiation, not abiding at the extreme, will arise in the continuum. What is it like? The essence is not established as anything, The scope is not limited in any way, not falling to any side. As Chöje Rangjung Dorje said: 'The cause is the unobstructed essence of mind, without limitation or bias, The essence is emptiness, the nature is clarity, The aspect is unceasing, appearing as anything.' Thus, the four symbols have a special necessity. As it is said in the Great Perfection: 'The yoga of not closing the eyes, is superior to all yogas, It is called the lion's gaze.' And, 'By the karma mudra binding qualities, the three realms do not waver, The blissful body is not felt, bliss, clarity, and non-thought reach the other shore.' And, that bliss of not feeling the body anywhere, is uncontaminated bliss, It is unsurpassed bliss, it is great bliss. Thus it is taught. Third, mind training, to practice such meaning, one must have six postures: As Gyalwa Götsangpa said: 'Outer retreat, the posture of staying in a mountain hermitage, inner retreat, the posture of staying in a hut, secret retreat, without' --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
