Rinchen Terdzod (Great Treasury of Rediscovered Teachings) TD2522: Chapter on the Nyang Treasure: The Great King Pehar's Accomplishment Method with Life Entrustment Nyang Treasure: Chapter on the Great King Pehar's Accomplishment Method with Life Entrustment Oṃ Svasti! Homage to the Great Glorious Secret Lord Heruka! Here, I will briefly explain the method of accomplishing the Great King Pehar, along with the life entrustment ritual. Here, to accomplish the ritual of life entrustment in connection with the accomplishment method of the wealth-owner Great King Pehar, there are three parts: the preparation of materials, the actual method of accomplishment, and the ritual of life entrustment. First, on a particularly auspicious waxing day, in front of a painted image of this deity, set up a platform covered with a cloth, scattered with various grains. On top of that, on a maṇḍala plate, in a copper bowl, place a torma made of roasted barley flour, shaped like Mount Meru with three tiers, adorned with five secret external offerings, five lamps with butter, a body representation (tsakli), arrows, banners, and five victory banners. Around the perimeter, arrange many carved offering cakes, or if that is not possible, place a demon-subduing torma on the right, an increasing torma on the left, a torma for the tsen spirits in front, and a protective torma for the outer guardians in the back. Along with vases and eight small offering cakes; if condensing, it is also acceptable to surround with eight small offering cakes and a hook. In any case, it should be adorned with various excellent foods such as beef and other meats, blood, butter, molasses, and so on. Furthermore, on a higher platform, place a suppressing torma of the yidam deity, a collection of five secret external offerings for propitiation, medicine essence, rakta (blood offering). In Chinese bowls and the like, offer roasted barley flour, golden beverage, white beverage, sweet beverage, sensory offerings, the right leg of a white sheep, white incense, incense smoke of medicinal wood, reed arrows, banners, and various objects for the deity's enjoyment. Also, gather all the implements needed below, such as the five types of hand implements, the oath wood, and the five victory banners. Second, the method of accomplishment: Since the horse-headed deity and Vajrapani are specifically visualized as suppressing deities, one should first generate oneself as either of these two, and bless the offerings and tormas in accordance with the general practice. In the previous rituals of this practice, the generation of the deity in front has not been mentioned, so although it is clarified by inviting the deity to reside in the support, for the purpose of communicating to the disciple at the time of the life empowerment, purify the support in front with स्वाभाव (svabhāva, svabhāva, self-nature, 自性). From within emptiness, visualize a spontaneously arisen palace, distinguished by various wondrous arrangements of causes and conditions. Inside, in the center of the base of crossed मा (mā, mā, mā, mā) ṭaṃs, visualize the King of Hearts, dark blue in color, wearing a black silk cloak and a bear skin, with a black silk Thibs-zhu hat on his head. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
